Man. I wish I only had to pay $60 for a game. Every new release here is over $100us.
PLUS the cost of needing a bloody internet connection to verify the game is legit.

Which makes sense, considering the CE is $20 USD more. So if you pay more, you get more for your money. FASCINATING.DarthSliver wrote...
It sounds like NonCE people will have to pay extra for the DLC like non Signature People had to pay for Sebastian with Dragon Age 2

Which would make sense; that's usually how it works with games these days.DarthSliver wrote...

Which mean the price for FULL game on launch is $80 instead of $60 yet publishers still pretend it's $60.cgrimm54 wrote...

Yes, the full CE game is in fact $80 not $60. Our game is more because it contains more.
Also, people will get the DLC for less. It'll probably only be $7 dollars which means if all they want from the CE is the character then they'll save $13.

No , the game is complete.Your paying more not only for an dlc but all the goodies that come with the collector's edition. In the standard edition you can play through the entire game(beginning to end) , so the game is a complete experience in that regard.
To say it's not a full game is a bit mis-leading , thier game developers they want to make money too. It's either dlc things(offer free dlc in premium edition's) or move standard edition's up to $70-80 and have collector's edition's start at $100 - 200(which will anger alot of people).

The question is, have the games become so much harder to make and have gained much more value than they had 5 years ago, when dlc wasn't a thing yet? In my opinion, they have not, it's just that we, gamers, have let them trick us into paying for ''extra'' content, and now it's hard to go back.

I don't think so , I think the problem is around rising costs to make a game.Five years ago dlc's couldn't have worked because no one really knew how to structure adding content to an already released game on console (exception being pc).Personally I think free and paid dlc can both be done . free content for standard editions and paid content in collector edition's.I think it makes more sense in paying a bit more for premium editon's and receiving some type of dlc character and mission.
Maybe gamer's have let the companies run wild , but I mean maybe their can also be a middle ground somewhere in all of it.Like I said if more people demand no more dlc's and they all should be free. Then it's going to escalate a $20 increase across the board because their isn't any other way to deal with rising costs then to do dlc content or offer day dlc to premium buyers.

To me if they don't do it , their missing out on extra that would be paid to get armor and weapons.

Going to be based on the contract they signed with the Retailer. It's why Gamestop Mass Effect 2 Pre-Order content was never made available.

The Contract only convered Xbox 360 & PC. At the time the PS3 Version wasn't even announced.

Yep it happened - KOTOR 2. It was pushed from February 2005 back to December 2004, but that happened only because Lucas Arts wanted Christmas $$$ and the game seffered greately because of it. Don't think ME would suffer, it had much longer dev time than KOTOR 2, but better not experiment.G0ldmember wrote...
If they keep up this pace, theyll have time to spare before going gold (in aprox 4 weeks). Has the releasedate for a game ever been pushed forward? (one can only hope)
