ME1 had two discs, the second one was for the locales.

They're not the same size on disk, I can tell you that. ME2 is significantly larger.

Yes, but not significantly much more in terms of total storage.  I think its close to a single GB, but still shy IIRC.

I can also second Didy on disk space once installed, ME2 is quite huge on my HDD compared to ME1.

I was making a jibe at how some folks on 360 will react, that's all.  Some will complain that another disc should have been added for more content, while others will moan about having to switch discs (an understandable inconvenience).  

But Dieby and Didy are correct.  Nothing more I could add.

I like downloading digital distributions, but the CE purchase was a must for me, and thus precluded a digital copy. Still, I won't be disc swapping other than to pull the Sims 3 DVD out of my drive after my wife has played.

No reason? Since when BioWare has free DLC? Ofc, here were several free, but that's it. Except pre-order bonuses there is no free DLC. Moreover, it's not just BioWare. Ubisoft,  Activision, EA, oh wait , Microsoft, Square Enix and more. That's why I am so negative about payable DLCs. Actually CD-Projekt never wanted money for their DLC.

Sure its a tiny note, but noteworthy none the less. The used game trade is MASSIVE.

What on Earth is everyone's problem paying for DLC anyway? What makes you think you're entitled to extra content for free when there are people who actually work on and build these things for you? I see no reason why DLC shouldn't have a value placed on it.

And sure, while ME2's free DLCs required you to buy the game new, if you buy the game used then of course Bioware isn't going to give you free stuff - they don't get any of the money fro used games. I'm not saying the used game market is wrong, but people who don't want to pay the proper price for games aren't going to get any extra stuff for free.
