What on Earth is everyone's problem paying for DLC anyway? What makes you think you're entitled to extra content for free when there are people who actually work on and build these things for you? I see no reason why DLC shouldn't have a value placed on it.

I've never understood people's problems with it.

I don't get peoples issue with DLC. It's just cheaper, split up expansion pack. Take all of ME2 DLC not counting the comic thing and its about 30 bucks. That's how much expansions used to cost, and its about the same amount of content you would get with one.

BioWare has been a lot better at it then others pricing wise. Stuff tends to be kept under 10 bucks or right at 10, depending on how large it is. Compare that to Activition and your talking 15 bucks for 4 maps. Something basic that takes a few weeks to make for 15 bucks isn't quite the same as LotSB for 10. The cost and time put into LotSB can't really be compared to 4 crappy multiplayer maps fans coulda made in there spare time in a few weeks.

In some countries buying a dlc = you're paying twice than buying simple game.

ME2
Normandy Crash Site
Zaeed - The Price of Revenge
Cerberus Weapon and Armor
*Arc Projector
Firewalker Pack

DA:O
The Stone Prisoner
*The Lucky Stone
*Embri's Many Pockets
*Amulet of the War Mage
*Helm of the Deep
*Mark of Vigilance

DA:II
The Black Emporium
*The Far Cliffs of Kirkwall
*Lothering's Lament
*Of Things Not lost
*Boots of the Frozen Waste

(*while these are only single weapons or items, they are still DLC available for free)

And sure, while ME2's free DLCs required you to buy the game new, if you buy the game used then of course Bioware isn't going to give you free stuff - they don't get any of the money fro used games. I'm not saying the used game market is wrong, but people who don't want to pay the proper price for games aren't going to get any extra stuff for free.

And little further I wrote that I know there is some of free DLCs but most of them are for pre-ordering the game, and after premiere you won't get these bonuses. Moreover, most of these DLCs are just stupid items. I know I can't expect to get everything for free but also I don't want to pay for every single thing. Like Nero Narmeril said, in some countries buying a DLC is seriously expensive..

It's easy to say: don't like it? Don't buy it.
But what if I want it, but it's to expensive? Yeah..

Which countries? I usually get my DLC's from PSN and Steam and Origin and it's usually fairly priced with other regions and I'm in South Africa.

:o Why so much? Do you play on PC or Xbox 360?

The only thing they really overcharge for DLC here is new games that you can download off PSN which is a lot cheaper to buy from a online store and even from a local retailer.

But, you don't have to pay for any of these things. If bought these games at release you get all of these for free. Hell, some of these are free just for being on BSN

If you didn't buy the game new then chances are getting it at a greatly reduced price, so the cost of the DLC will just bring it up to the same price the game cost to begin with.

And I get that in some countries DLC is expensive, but that doesn't change the fact that all of these items were available for free.

Wait, why are they so much more expensive over there? Are the games themselves comparatively cheaper than other countries?

Of course not, but that doesn't change the facts that most of this stuff is just items and not everyone need more daggers, swords, shotguns etc.

Bioware don't control price rates in every country, they charge standard, and the rest isn't up to them.

If I remember correctly this:

ME2
Normandy Crash Site
Zaeed - The Price of Revenge
Cerberus Weapon and Armor
*Arc Projector
Firewalker Pack

Was part of the Cerberus Network pack that was only available when you bought the CE edition which was (at the time) $20 US more than the regular game. So it wasn’t technically free.

No, every copy came with a Cerberus Network activation code. Which in turn gave you the option to download Zaeed right away. The others just came in later, but were also free.

No when I bought it. They were FREE with the Cerberus Network, but the Cerberus Network itself cost addtional money. you cansee right now if you go to the DLC page in this BSN it costs 1200 Bioware points

Every version of the game came with a code to download the Cerberus Network, as long as the game was new. It wasn't unique to the CE.

You can buy the Cerberus Network separately if you bought the game pre-owned, hence the price tag.
