Anyway, either you're missing that or you aren't choosing to save the person on Virmire who is with the salarian team. If you save the person at the bomb site then all the salarians die.

No they don't. Kirrahe was well and alive on my last playthrough after saving the one at the bomb ;) Honestly no idea how though. Guess they just outrun the blast and we pick them up some way away from the facility.

If you destro secondary objectives like geth bases, relays, antennas, fliers and attack the base with paragon option, then salarians will live.

It's been a while since I've played ME1, but I could have sworn that they die. I guess I must not have looked in the cargo bay until after I stopped at a major location, because I always do the bonus objectives on Virmire. That said, how the frig do the salarians survive?

I always assumed they outran the blast. Same as Rana if you let her live. The Salarian team with the Squadmember who dies probably die though.

Anyway, enough offtopicness. Sorry Vertigo. :P

Sorry, I just quoted your post cause it had the initial question, and I thought it would keep the subject of our dialogue more focused. (Don't know if what I just said have any meanning in english, it's hard to translate a thought in one language into a post in another. :?)

And sorry for the off-topic thing too.

About the tweets, someone told me the job was finished. Don't know if he was referring to his job only, or the entire game.

I recall that Kirrahe sent some reinforcement into the base along with A/K to assist Shepard's team. I don't recall Kirrahe saying anything after this point, and A/K being the one on the mic as they move through the base to meet up until they get holed up at the AA gun, cut off from the rendezvous point..

I always assumed that Kirrahe and whatever was left of the assault team met at the rendezvous point and got picked up, which is where the Normandy goes after dropping off the other half of A/K and the bomb being set, which is why it has to swoop in and save you regardless of whether you chose to head to the AA gun or head back towards the bomb site.

Yeah I'm pretty sure in my game Kirrahe and the salarians were picked up by the Normandy. I guess I saved them accidentally because I knew I'd lose somebody on Virmire so I kinda did almost all the sidequests before going there. XD
Edit: I saved the bomb person btw

If you are on ME1, and did all the secondary assignments on saving Kirrahe. He will be in the hanger after the mission before you go anywhere else.

Yeah it never made sense to me how you can save the useless salarian squad, even if you go back to the bomb to fight Saren, and yet you always lose your teammate... who was with the salarians! I wish Bioware had just made it so all the salarians die too if you go back to the bomb.

There were three salarian squads, if you go back for the bomb the one that has Ashley or Kaidan presumably does die.

Nope. The survivors are from the AA tower.  If you don't go there, then your squadmate dies covering their escape.

Does someone want to ask a dev what details they can provide about what content will come w/ the ME3 branded figures?

Bet you people any amount of money that the mystery DLC squadmate is a girl, partly because the only new squadmate confirmed is James Vega and also partly because for quite a few people the only girl you could have on your team is Liara ( and even then Asari are more mono-gendered than anything else). Discuss?

All my plays on ME1 the Salarians and Kirrahe lived and I always saved the VS who was arming the bomb. I always take out all the geth checkpoints, satellites, shutdown the security, etc and when I get back to the Normandy his squad is down in the Cargo hold with him.

You've already lost the bet, because the details about DLC character was leaked a little more than half a year ago.

Yes, Captain Kirrahe divides his unit into three teams. Is not specifically said, but presumably the team defending either the bomb site, or the AA site, dies along with A/K defending the site depending on choice and completion of the secondary objectives.

If you later speak with Kirrahe in the cargo hold, he mentions the “brave soldiers” that died that day

 Ditto

If anyone who has Twitter wants to ask the devs and marketing people if we will get class trailers, that would be great

oh, Whoops, though if pressed I'd say that at least 1 of the 2 unreleased Squadmates will be a girl........ Holy God, I just realised something, if Ashley is dead in Virmire for your playthrough then right now there is a very high chance that ME3 won't have a human female romance (on the squadmate roster anyway)

I'm betting on this.

Prosecutor: "Did you or did you not release a Rachni Queen from a lab on Noveria?"

It was the right thing to do

Shepard - -   It could be a powerful ally

                       No! I destroyed it!

And things of that nature.

The problem with this would be that those choices are in place for people without an import Shepard, who are new to the series. They wouldn't understand a word of what was being asked, nor would they care. Besides, these kind of facts would be known to the prosecutor, so it would be a stupid think to ask.

The tweet mentions an 'elegant solution', so I'm expecting more than that.

A lot of times prosecutors will ask questions they already know the answer to so a jury/commitee will hear the info from the witness, first-hand.

Somebody should ask whether the demo will include the apparently epic menu screen music...
