All you "It's not Shepard" folk may want to keep this in mind:

One of the few criticisms that I saw thrown around for Mass Effect 2 – and I should note that I did not view this as a problem, but I know that some people did – was the lack of a distinct bad guy or a real face to the enemy the way you had in Mass Effect 1. The final boss fight in Mass Effect 2 kind of comes out of nowhere. Is that something that you’ll be changing in Mass Effect 3? Is there a more specific villain or is it still just kind of the general threat of the Reapers?

In the first one we had Saren. In the second one, we wanted to introduce some mystery into who’s doing what, and that was supposed to be the Illusive Man. In the third game, yeah, I think we’re introducing a clearer target for Shepard, a clearer foil.

Yup. That's Shepard he's standing on. There are more indicators than just that image as well.

Heh I'm not saying its not Shepard, im pretty sure it is. Just saying the Onyx N7 armor is standard issue for N7 operatives.

Know exactly what you mean.  I want Shepard to lose himself for just a little bit, to fall down, beaten, and then to find the light that makes him stand up again, ready to fight.

A bit like when the Turtles in the original Ninja Turtles movie lost Splinter and Raphael was beaten to a pulp, then they all gathered around that fire and Splinter spoke to them, and they all believed again, ready to fight.  B)

CE looks pretty nice. Good thing I pre-ordered it back in August


God damn it...I was about 30 secs away from ordering the CE edition of the Art of the ME Universe - until I saw that the BW store was giong to charge me $23 for shipping :blink: - so I went for the standard in the end. That lithograph looks awesome as well, will probably be picking that up to go alongside my ME2 Team litho on my wall :happy:

It is the Art of the Mass Effect Universe, Collector's Edition. Not the N7 Artbook.

Hmm, the normal edition is already £20 over here. I may give the CE version a miss. The book itself looks worth it though - I really want to see that image of Kai Leng over Shepard up close.

Or it might mean the alliance of all the various species Shepard gathers, with the goal of taking back Earth. Given the Systems Alliance's status at the start of ME3, that seems likely.

I'd be interested to see the dev's answer though.

The regular edition will most probably contain that regardless. The CE just has the fancy case and the Dark Horse stuff on top.
