To the former, that's different. That's nothing to really compare with since ME3 isn't offering (nor should it, IMO) a co-op version of the story.

Not sure about Gears, but COD and Halo DEFINITELY have offline spitscreen hoard mode modes.  Those modes can also be played online, but there is nothing stopping you (alone or with a friend) from starting up your own match--the second player simply signs in as a "guest" to the first player.

Does anybody know if you can choose the genders of the alien races in MP? I mean, I know it's non-debatable with asari and wouldn't make sense with salarians, but has it been revealed if you can choose female drell, turians, or even krogans? Because I don't see why not. XD Hopefully you can be a male quarian too.

Heard that only human female is available, but it was long time ago and I'm really bad with providing links.

We don't know until we get more information, aside from male/female humans.

Well atleast if people still had any doubt whether or not the PC version would use origin, you just added an extra bit of useful confirmation to that argument. I can live with that through, ty for answering!

Halo: ODST/Halo: Reach allowed for both SP campaign co-op (splitscreen) and Horde mode (split-screen).

All of the Gears games (Gears 1-3) allowed for SP splitscreen and all of their Horde modes allowed for splitscreen.

All L4D is is a co-op mode, and they allow for split-screen (both the first game and its sequel)
