Good news for anyone who preorders (or has preordered) #ME3 on Origin: You'll receive a free copy of Battlefield 3! http://bit.ly/xu7VJb

Someone mind tweeting to find out if this is a NA offer or worldwide? Also, I presume any pre-order of the DDE will get it but it would be nice to confirm whether user who pre-ordered prior to this announcement are eligible too.

I pre-ordered very recently (last Friday) and have been eyeing up BF3 for ages. I just don't have a computer to run the game all that well yet. So I'm really hoping I can get a copy!

Is this only for the digital version or is it cross-platform?

you'll see that the Dev has confirmed that your accusations are false.

You may recall that devs also confirmed accusations about DA2 were false in the leadup to that game going retail. That worked out a treat huh? I think Bioware's actions in the recent past warrant taking anything they say with a healthy dose of salt. In a month's time we'll know the truth, one way or the other.

A piece I'm quite proud of is when Shepard is walking & talking w/
Anderson on Earth. Obviously I totally went for a ME1 sound there. :)

I'll give you that. I'm fairly confident in ME3 but this is Bioware's chance at redemption when it comes to quite a few people.
Personally I enjoyed Dragon Age 2 to a certain extent, but it really could have been better, more solid, more polished. It should have been a lot more than what it was and I think that's what annoys people the most about it.

That said, it was more than a chip in Bioware's reputation.

After playing the demo for ME3 though, I'm confident. I can say after I played DA2's demo I was already a little worried.

"Mass Effect 3 Co-op Doesn't Suck" - Xbox 360 Preview at IGN: http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/121/1218717p1.html"

Those videos... oh god MP looks super fun. D: Friday, why can't you get here faster?!

Edit: Playing the demo through a second time and after I resolved my framerate issues, the game is effin' gorgeous. I have no idea what everybody keeps complaining about like it's the end of the world. With this and the MP video I am just so stoked all over again for March. :pinched:

Mass Effect 3 demo is awesome, allowed me to determine i dont like Narrative difficulty lol. Just Casual seems easier than it was on ME2 and Normal is well I aint sure. Seems to give most of the challenge.

If you have an Xbox360 or PC, go do the Mass Effect 3 Facebook game thingy and get early access to Multiplayer.  You just need to link your Origin account to the game thing-a-ma-bob, then get one of your friends to do the same.  Bam, you have early access to MP.  Cash money!

Also, for those naysayer who thought MP wouldn't be good, you are reading a post from a former skeptic.  It. Is. Super. Addictive.

Nice to know that the Reapers true purpose of destroying all organic life every 50,000 years is to melt us down and make soda from our remains.

I haven't seen the thread in question, but I gather it is a graphics-related complaint? To be fair, it does get somewhat tiresome when you have AAA titles coming out - some self-proclaimed as the year's most anticipated what's more - designed to run on hardware that was anaemic in 2005. It might be nice if some of them actually took at least partial advantage of modern hardware, as opposed to the current state of affairs where some new games barely stress a system over idle levels.

Not every PC player has top-of-the-line hardware. Could BioWare have maybe put in a bit more work in that area? Perhaps, but going the Battlefield 3 route would have been worse.

^I'd gladly sacrifice graphics if that meant the game would be playable on a wider range of PCs.

I did build my current PC to BF3 recommended specifications, however the game is poorly optimized and my frames per second in that game barely get above 40 even on low/medium settings.

At least with Mass Effect 2 (3 maybe), the graphics are good and the game is smooth enough so more people will be able to play it.

Exactly.  You change one thing on your PC to meet the graphics, and suddenly you have to upgrade something else because of compatibility issues and unbalanced resource uptake.

The textures are pretty bad, granted, but the textures have always been poor in BioWare games in comparison to most other AAA game companies.  However, the narrative and gameplay (for the most part) are enjoyable enough where I don't really give a **mn if it's as pretty as Uncharted or a Crytek game.

There have been improvements though. I could tell that the textures on the PC's face were better, blended Shepard with the other characters better than the previous games. Hair texture looks generally better too. Cetainly they're not on the level of a few top tier AAA titles but it's good enough for me generally.

Though... I'm not on PC so feel free to despise me.
