I adjusted the brightness on the PC (the thing where it said adjust until you see the N and the 7) and, to me at least, the visuals looked loads better. The only thing that looked fake was the fire, and that's really not a big deal.

Good news for anyone who preorders (or has preordered) #ME3 on Origin: You'll receive a free copy of Battlefield 3! http://bit.ly/xu7VJb

So I'll have 2 copies??? Guess I'll be selling one (if it's possible).

There have been improvements though. I could tell that the textures on the PC's face were better, blended Shepard with the other characters better than the previous games. Hair texture looks generally better too. Cetainly they're not on the level of a few top tier AAA titles but it's good enough for me generally.

Though... I'm not on PC so feel free to despise me.

I primarily play on PC, but I haven't had the time to to download the demo on there, so I can't really speak on how well this game transitioned or not.  But if the graphics are the same, then there really shouldn't be much of an issue.  It's still decent graphics for this age.

Fire and water tend to always look horrible, as it takes up a lot of resources to get it right and is taxing on the system in a lot of cases.

As for the pre-order incentive for Origin, that's a great deal for those who enjoy multiplayer.  It really is a superior experience compared to the Halo/CoD shenanigans.

However, a lot of people probably want nothing to with that game because it's a multiplayer experience.

I am glad about this too, like how Anderson's face looked so much better and felt really different from the previous ME games. But that just made default Shepard of both genders the one to use over customizating, if the demo custom options are anything close to the main game my Femsheps might be getting a default make over. I just couldnt really make a custom femshep I was really happy with when playing the demo several times and femshep is usually easy for me to customize for me, its the male shepard i always dislike customizing lol.

See, this is what I like. Nice tempered, rational conversation, even when opposing views are in play. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. I LOVE this thread

Speaking of graphics and optimizing hardware, the witcher 2 is coming out in April for the Xbox360. I'm quite excited and I've heard it has possibly the best visuals to date. Will be interesting to see how good it will look on the 360

Ah. The Graphics.

Well, I won't go on a completely off-topic rant on that, though part of the reason I spent so much money on a gaming PC is that games just look better on that. But I have to say I'm slightly disappointed that Bioware has once again mostly ignored the PC. We got another port. The faces look fine, but that's just about it. They should have learned from Bethesda: just allow PC gamers to mod the game and they'll have better textures than any game soon enough. But it seems, as I said, that we've once again been ignored as far as that goes... and I'll have to be happy with some textures that look like they're from 2005. I won't even mention the graphical effects (I laughed rather than anything else when I saw the water reflections were baked into the texture, but it is of course somewhat sad).

Y BIOWARE? I NOT IS PIRATE! I IS GRAPHICS FREAK! Give me nice-nice textures please! Or give me mod support because TexMod hates me!

''Who are these morons saying someone have to sue Bioware for stealing GOW cover system? So uncharted as well? People are just so stupid.  ''

Seriously?! are you kidding me, Complaining BioWare for using GOW's cover system?.

BSN has seriously made me loose faith in humanity even more now.

It's like saying BioWare stole Ideas from Epic Games. What don't you think Epic Games have done either?! do anyone actually think that Epic Games had there cover system in GOW done by themself? i say they have without a doubt also taken there Cover System from some other game dev.

Dev's steal ideas, get over it already.

Sorry for going Off-topic there but after seeing that tweet from Sasha, i just had to get the above off my chest.

It's not even really stealing. I mean, unless you consider stealing the idea of taking cover in a fire fight and trying to move without getting hit from real life to be stealing.

I guess we should go back and find the first game to use magic and give them royalties.

Hell, Tolkiens family could sue almost the entire Fantasy RPG market for use of elves dwarves and orcs.

There's not much they can tell at this point that we don't know, except for trailer info etc., so the thread is slowing down

They're probably taking a much needed and well deserved rest after all those hours it took to get us the game.

Yeah, I guess once the game launches, this thread is just gonna whither. i'll be sad to watch it go. This is been one of my main sources of information for almost a year.

Also ME3's system has modificacions that makes it a bit different: Like jumping an obstacle without having to take cover first, or doing a Melee attack if you press "F" when you are on a corner of the wall/piece of concrete (That's a pretty useful improvement if you ask me)

It's not a 100% and dull steal, so I don't see why all the fuss with it.

Also considering how enemies are going to be much more mobile, it's probably good that Shepard is more mobile. Don't wan't them Banshees casually walking up to you and punching your spine out.

Exactly, thats the point.

Whoever complained about this to BioWare obviously like to nit pick on everything a demo offers -.-
