Shepard: Origins - Akuze/Torfan/Elysium, basically relive a portion of Shepard's first big mark in Alliance History. Sort of do up like DA2's Interrogation where Liara is gathering further entries for the Time Capsule she created.

I would second that - as someone with a Sole Survivor, I'd really like to see what happened on Akuze. Aside from that, anything in the FIrst Contact War would interest me.

I kind of expected us to visit Shep's origins in kind of like a dream sequence or something like that. Oh, well.

So i made mention to mikes comment of Revisiting past Mass effect areas and time periods. Here is what I said:

@GambleMike Why do I have a bad feeling about this comment mike? Especially the Time period thing.....
He said:
I'm just curious. This can be any time - even within the me1,2,3 timeframe
I said:
I know, but the inner conspirist says otherwise. I would like to see what happened in the two year span between ME1 and ME2
Something sounds alittle fishy....

+1

I'd really like to see both of those (Shepard origin and FCW).  If we're really digging up the past though, wouldn't mind seeing snippets of the Krogan Rebellions or the Morning War, maybe as short flashback sequences or somesuch.

One, the fact that they are asking about interesting places to revisit brings me warmth.

Two, that origami thing is how protest messages to bioware should be done, that way you don't ****** off the only guys who can legally work on the endings, and you don't either call for economic failure of the company or come off as being kinda a dick.

I applaud this origami protest!

WOO!!!!!!!!! Glad I'm not the only one who wants to see Shep's past. I'm sure it'd be quite a beast of a DLC considering you'd need to put together the War Hero/Ruthless/Sole Survivor experiences which happen in different places with different sets of people. BUT HEY! At least they can hand off the resources from those to the MP studio and we can get some new maps! :o

Hey Vertigo, can you ask one of the devs how big the Extended Cut is looking to be? There is probably a 0.01 % chance of getting a solid answer, but a solid number can tell us how many changes there will actually be in the EC.

As in how many MB's it's going to be? Well it can't be more than 2GB due to MS limitations on DLC size (it's still 2 GB right?)...
Other than that there's not much they can say yet, I think (they haven't been very forthcoming so far)

I honestly don't think it will even hit the 1GB mark. At least, if it's true that there is no gameplay in it.

Heck, if Bioware breaks out their creative hats I would LOVE to see some additional gameplay as part of the EC.

@ Vertigo_1

If you can, please pass this idea along since I don't have twitter. As far as times and places to visit I and a few others would love some additional details on what was going on in the galaxy at large during the six month time gap between ME2 and ME3. Heck, if the ladies and gentlemen at Bioware HQ are listening, perhaps they can produce a DLC where we can play out the events of Shepard's hearing after he turned himself into the Alliance, with cutscenes of the AAN network reporting on it. You know, flesh things out a bit, and use that trial sequence where Shep has to defend himself and answer questions as to what he was doing with Cerberus so those without an import can make decisions on what happened in ME2 (like in the ME2 Genesis comic). Just make sure this one is well written. Myself and quite a few others were a little bummed that this didn't make into the game at ship.  Posted Image

Agree w/ the rest. Shep's origins. I know ME is supposed to be about the whole universe, but honestly, I can't divorce the two.

*Headdesk*

Headdesk all you can, boy, that was actually my take on that quote as well when I first saw it. Of course, nitpickers will grab every non-issue they can to whip it all out of proportion. I guess many of you here are no exception to this.

Good to see someone updating frequently, even if it is through that... site.

An origins DLC would be my most wanted kind of content, even though I hate prequels. When I try to think of other missions thrown into the ME3 timeline it just doesn't seem to work. There doesn't seem like enough time. Not to mention it would feel useless because we know how badly it ends (with or without the new content).

A 4 hour meeting this late after the EC annoucement leads me to believe that Bioware have no plans set in stone regarding the finality of the DLC.

Hopefully this is an indication that they are seriously considering implementing ALTERNATE endings to please those of us who desired more than clarification and were disappointed with the initial statement.

Shep Origins?

Not a good idea. Why?

War Hero would have a great battle and Ruthless would have a great battle. Awesome but too short.

Sole Survivor would have a boss fight with a thresher maw. Not so awesome and way too short.

Or incredibly atmospheric. Imagine groping your way through the pitch black tunnel that is a Thresher Maw nest with only a flashlight trying to escape from Thresher Maws and Thresher Maw spawn while listening to the screams and cries of your former comrades as they are slaughtered.

That would be completely awesome.

I don't think it would work with the current engine though :-/ but it would be awesome. Yet it only limits to ONE of Shepard's storys. You also have War hero and the rest...
