Hopefully this is an indication that they are taking the EC very seriously and are doing more than simple clarification.

Is it just me, or do his Tweets have that feel of someone fondling your nuts only to punch you right in the face as hard as they can?

No hate on anyone, it's just my trust is very thin right now.

Bioware stays silent: people complain and dismiss as tight-lipped hubris.
Bioware gives updates: people complain and dismiss as false.

Win-win situation!

Let's not even kid ourselves. NDA blows, and it sucks. All devs can do is just hint at stuff they've done like they're making a weekly progress report inside the company. It's annoying to read sometimes [DXHR dev tweets anyone] but at least they're keepin busy.

Feel free to take what devs say with a grain of salt. They do the same with some of the more ineloquent members of this community.

I don't really believe anything they say anymore, not until I've seen it with my own eyes. Interesting stuff nonetheless.

At the point at which I started to feel like my chain was being yanked (intentionally or unintentionally, the result was the same), I unfollowed all but two Bioware-related twitter accounts. I gotta say, the result was that I felt a lot less vexed, and a lot less strung along. I wholeheartedly recommend Unfollow Therapy.

What if they said you don't have testicular cancer and a year to live?

Inb4, "How dare you say that because I can't take a bad joke."

They better be if they plan on capitalizing on the Mass Effect name ever again.

I'll say it: I will willingly play a Mass Effect MMO or other monstrosity EA comes up with if they properly fix my trilogy. I can just pretend all that other stuff is meaningless fluff. But if they don't fix it? Then it won't be meaningless fluff in my mind, it'll be totally off the radar...as in, not-buying-at-all off the radar.

Though, if they do an MMO and it has a monthly subscription...so help me...I HATE montly subscriptions with the fire of a thousand suns. I might not be able to guarantee purchase in that case.

And I am happy for you in that case, my pro-ender friend.

However, I can't fathom enthusiasm myself for this upcoming DLC. In fact, I think the word I would use is "dread."

No, no, no. Mass Effect franchise will not become like the Halo series. Pay attention Bioware, cause this will save you time and money:

1. No MMO
2. No RTS
3. No prequel
4. No story arc from another perspective; example Halo ODST

The only viable option is a sequel. Continue the franchise with another trilogy. I'm surprise Bungie finally got that right for the Halo series, took them three years.

ME franchise is a third person shooter, so that means no MMO or RTS. Prequels always have some major detail that doesn't fit the plotline or timeline from the original trilogy. Story arc, please. Those are the worst, cause you know that nothing in the story arc means nothing and isn't going to affect the overall story, and half the time its a character that nobody cares about, sorry Lileiana. (Can't spell her name, Dragon Age Origins) Witch Hunt was different, because it extended the story with the Warden, and his possible LI.

Here's some starting points: Everything takes place in the future and space travel has just started again.
Main villians
-Creator of the reapers
-New race that evolved and wasn't part of the former/current galactic society

The francise should die with the ending of ME3, but it won't. Seriously, the only way it to continue the franchise is through another trilogy, learn the mistakes from the first three.

Very, very wise words, but I doubt they will be heeded.

In the issue of GameInformer last summer focusing on ME3, Casey Hudson talked about doing a Mass Effect MMO. EA is a fan of the online shenanigans. It's only logical to assume something like that will be in the works soon if it isn't already. "The Final Hours" uncovered the existence of the precursor to the current MP - a first-person shooter that looked strangely like Halo with Mass Effect weapons, backgrounds, and vehicles. With their move to include MP in Mass Effect 3, it definitely indicates where their thoughts are headed on that front...and it's being successful. Many people have given up SP because of the endings and have taken refuge in MP. If this trend continues, we might very well see much more online-geared content in the future.

I hope to all that is holy that I'm wrong, but given what has been coming to light since this game released, I'm not optimistic.
