I don't get it. What's the giant "let's take a **** on bioware" thing this time? Cause I'm really not seeing it.
I just think it's rather ironic that Jessica is disappointed with unavoidable plot points in Fallout 3, but doesn't address concerns with anything more than a hand-wave over the exact same concerns with ME3.
What concerns? I didn't find any that stuck out in my playthrough.
Actually I didn't find any in fallout 3 either. I didn't like that game as much as mass effect 3 though.
What makes one of these things bad again?
The fact we have no control over several plot points (can't speak for Fallout, never played it):
- Relays being destroyed
- Fleet stuck in orbit of Earth with only FTL
- Normandy crashes
- You have to build the Crucible no matter what (HUGE pet peeve of mine)
In ME2, besides the two big choices, you had a full range of control over who can live and die in the SM. The only thing you can control in ME3 besides the big decision is whether Earth is totally decimated, somewhat decimated, or not as decimated. That's it. Everything else is unavoidable.
It's a bad plan because ME2 had an endgame that was very flexible. They took a huge step backwards with ME3. How is that not a bad plan?
