Does anyone even care anymore about what Casey Hudson says?

Well not sure, since Casey hasn't said anything in about 2 months...others have been really really quiet

Thanks for posting. I'm totally going to get those tracks. I love Hulick's work.

Also, major LOL at Gamble's tweet. I'm just as disappointed as the next person is about the ending, but the relentless onslaught of abuse they get is a bit much. It's good to see some of the staff have a thick skin after all this time. (It's not the entire staff's fault, after all.) ;)

edit: spelling fail! :P

Thick skin?

Mike Gamble: "Be nice to mom."
Random Person: "Fix ME3."
Mike Gamble: #blocked

Yeah, he's really rolling with the punches. :/

Mike is probably the lightest lightweight I've seen. He's run away from the forums for nothing, run away from Twitter for nothing, and is now blocking random snipers. I don't fault him for blocking people who troll him about the ending, but he's not exactly been the face of stoicism in this debacle.

And why should he? Laidlaw had the same problem, at this point, fans will blame him for everything. From ME3 to their lack of money. He's a grown man, and this bull**** is juvenile enough as it is.

maybe if fans didnt act like jerks he wouldnt of done what he did... ever think of why the devs havent really stated anything on twitter or the boards itself?

i see alot of people talk so much smack on this forum its pretty pathetic that you really believe the devs are afraid of you people

if you talked to me like that honestly i wouldnt just block you from twitter id basicly permantley ban you from the forums

why should i give you a few minutes of my time if your gona be a jerk?

gamble was justified in what he did and if you want to say im a bioware butt kisser feel free but i dont sit on these forums everyday and brag on how you think the devs are ** hiding and scared**

This is it in a nutshell.

Yes you have a right to talk like a jerk to someone, they have the right and prerogative to either ignore or report what you are doing. That's how the first amendment works, and how normal human conversing works, you and I can say what we want and the other people can choose to listen or ignore obviously negative statements against them.

Nothing anywhere says they have to listen to people give them crap and just smile and take it.

Look out! The brown nosers are out in force. Image IPB

On a serious note: Not everyone who has an issue with the Bioware is "being a jerk" . That's just nonsense.

Those who harass and threaten should be banned/blocked. But not everyone does that.

Ignoring people with legitamate concerns is not the way to solve anything, it tends to make things worse.

We need less cheerleading, less rage, more answers.

@ Tazzmission and xsdob

I can agree with both of you on this, but if you'll allow me a moment to play devil's advocate for just one moment, I could also see these jerks retorting by saying that the devs had brought it upon themselves with the numerous mistakes that have been made with ME3, the misleading comments made by devs pre and post gold phase, and the novel Deception.

However, let me be very clear about one thing. Although I can understand where they are coming from to an extent, that does NOT mean I agree with or support the way some of these knuckleheads have been acting. After all, you can attract more flies with honey than you can vinegar, and a mature, well thoughtout, and articulate discussion can at times get you farther than mindless hate text.

EDIT: @ Darth Malice113

I understand the anger, believe me. I'm from hawaii, and the hate against america over annexing our island is still there, still under the surface, but it is containted and managed. They won't bring it up or hate people from america, but start acting high and mighty about america on the island and you can expect to lose a few teeth, and need a hospital trip.

So while I cunderstand how anger and a sense of betrayl can lead to someone saying things that are either mean or harsh, but at some point it stops being from anger or from what your feeling and starts to seem habitual. It stops being from emotion and turns into a well calculated choice to try and 1up someone in any way they can and with whatever info they can, appropriate or not. that is what I do not approve of and that is what I'm starting to see.

I thank you for giving my points consideration and for not judgeing what I say as just being an apologist. And for using me as an example, praise is something I'm not quite used to.

Thank you.

Also I understand your point as well, dark malice, and you are right. But this is not about the legitimate issues, this is about the ones who are harrasing and trying to play at 1upmanship with the devs on their twitter page.

Um, OK?

I was responding to the assertion that they had thick skin. At least in Mike's case, he really doesn't seem to. He told everybody he wasn't coming to the forums anymore after somebody posted a dumb picture, and he said he was being attacked on Twitter after an honest question about the ending. If he wants to block people, that's fine, but there's no evidence that he's just taking it all on the chin, like some of the recent posts seem to be alleging.

That's all I was saying. I didn't say he was doing anything wrong or was being unreasonable or that he deserves to get spammed with jabs about the ending. Just that the posts that say he's being humorous or is playing along or has thick skin don't seem to be accurate.

And since you brought him up, Mike Laidlaw has the magic. The man's a prince, and he shoots technicolor beams of creativity from his fingers. He writes like a gifted poet, and I've never seen him get huffy with anybody (but if he ever did, it would have been with incredible style and undeniable class).

Hey, it's no problem my good man. I can disassociate myself from my own views to see the other side of an arguement or point to see if it holds merit and it certainly did. I'll always be more into logic, maturity, and reason than blind emotion any day of the week. Although, me still being human I will still make that as an honest mistake like anyone else. Image IPB

I wasn't accusing you of anything. I'm just adding to the point :-)

Laidlaw certainly is more charesmatic and handles things better. But he too had to leave the DA2 forums for a while. So did Gaider and a few other devs. They couldn't go on without someone accusing them for 9/11.

I don't think Mike should take that **** either. He's paid to work with games, not to have verbal duels of the witts with his followers. If he's being trolled, the best way to handle it is the banhammer.

look i have to vent here and this isnt a personal attack on anybody

do i have my nitpicks of me3? of course but the only way i wont go back to playing it is if nothing new is available via sp dlc

thanks to the knuckle head fans for throwing a baby fit people who want single player dlc have to wait now because the devs are working on the extended cut

what im sick of seeing is these same so called fans demand something then 2 months later act like the devs are there slaves and demand more from them and if they dont get it they accuse the devs of lying let alone actually afraid of the vocal fans when they are not.

my attitude is man up pull your balls out of your purse and really ask yourself do you think your more important than every other fan? what makes you so special ? should throwing a 2 year old tantrum at the age of 25 - possibly 30 put you or those people ahead of others?

i am personally not mad at the devs because what they do is buisness i am however mad at the fans who think they fight for every gamer when in fact i have been on record for 3 months straight telling them dont speak for me

so far and it kills me to say this but the people who acted out of control during the whole ending fiasco really sucked the fun out of any replay value because they can never shut up and ruin it for other people because they think there the number 1 people who only matter.

While some anti-enders exaggerate the number of fans who desire to see the endings reworked, it doesn't change the fact that Bioware is not obligated to listen to us. Hell, Bioware were the only ones who could choose to develop the extended cut; us fans were never in a position to determine a single one of Bioware's decisions.

In short, Bioware themselves chose to try and salvage what was left of their "most passionate fans" instead of pursuing other SP content. As such, you only have Bioware to blame for the delay in SP DLC, not the retakers for voicing their opinions.

honestly with the way things have been with fans bioware should just forget fan feedback and i say that because no matter what they do and how much they bust there butts off your always gona have someone or a group always find a way to attack it because it dosent fit there particular image for there particular game

i mean i appreciate the fan feedback they have done but with the way people have acted makes me ashamed to not just be a mass effect fan but a gamer as well

alot of people forget that games can always change and i have no idea what year there stuck in but certain fans need to catch up with the current times

Please fix your post. It makes it look like I said that.

Mike Laidlaw is good people. DA2 may not have turned out the way everyone wanted (and I think Mike would be one of the first people to say this), but it's not for lack of creativity. They just got some things wrong and tried to change too much with too little time.

It's fine if you disagree. Some people don't like David's writing. I personally think they would have to be illiterate to allege such, but I won't deny anybody their own opinion.

I am one of the people who didnt like the ending, I of course do not think I speak in the name of anybody but myself. The thing is some people felt bad about the ending and asked for a change in many different ways. Bioware could have said no and that was that, if they thought it was worth the effort to make a DLC and for free I am sure they considered it better for their business. So just because some people didn´t feel like you (and I know I would have loved to be able to enjoy it as it was, sadly I couldn´t) that doesn´t make us responsable for the "delay" you think you are getting on DLC. Don´t forget we are all speculating since we don´t know if this was not planned all along. I am truly sorry you think that we are the "evil" here but some people will not like/disagree no matter what, the difference here is that Bioware thought it was worth the shot to appease some of the fans with the EC

Edit: I should add that I am in no way defending people that attack the developers in any way. That is just wrong with no excuse.
