Good to know us PS3 gamers won't be playing with the devs, I have about 4 characters I'm getting to lv 20 and I can't do that with people like them darting around the map.Jos Hendriks wrote...

Be jam packed with request I'm sure wouldn't mind talking some me and playing with the devs? I'd school them at the game they created though Id have to go easy on them lol
Yep, the friend requests are flooding in, but I won't be filling up all the slots until the event starts, so that everyone gets a fair shake at sending a request. Maybe I'll see you online, so you can show me how it's done.

Am I the only one who's getting the feeling the Extended Cut will be alot more than simple cutscenes? Based on recent tweets, they seem super concentrated on DLC. Of course, it could also be other, future DLC they could be talking about, but one can hope, right? Plus, they've said they won't talk about other SP DLC until Extended Cut is released.

I think there going to try and surprise us with something really good in the extended cut, that way when people play it with low expectations and get to that surprise it'll be like, "Holy ****!
Now all we have to do is hope they remove the vaugeness from the endings with the rest of the dlc, or it won't matter how great the surprise is.

Guys, keep your hopes as low as it can get. Why? Because then you'll never be dissapointed :-)
He's right, I don't like it but low expectations are the only way not to get dissapointed.

I hope so and I hope they start talking soon, otherwise I think I'll just focus on Skyrim completely, that Dawnguard DLC looks better than anything Mass Effect 3 has come up with lately at least in terms of DLC. MP DLC is not going to save ME3 for me IMO.

That may be true but they haven't said anything Bethesda has. However, unlike BioWare I haven't had as many disappointments from Bethesda. I just don't know if "taking their time" equates to a good product with BioWare anymore, I can't trust them.

Games nowadays have only one pair of eyes looking at the product before coming out, and that would be the people developing it. Games back a few years ago would take more than a year or two of development because it would constantly be changing.
Aside from the developers, they had multiple groups of different testers along with other brances in the company taking a look at the game. Video games a few years ago were outstanding because people would constantly critique the game, not only by fans, developers, but also by random people.
Now in todays age, information travels so fast, that even the slightest leak could be available to all within a few minutes. Gaming companies are becoming so secretive, that they don't want to many people taking a look in fear of "copying" it.
Its good and bad. With more eyes looking at the product before release, there's more opinions, which means the game will be better overall in the end. Fable, Fallout, Elder Scrolls are just a few examples of how releasing bits of it before hand help in the end along with multiple and larger groups of testers and programmers taking a look. But having more people look at it increases the chance or rival games being created, for example Kindom of Amalur.
So its not necessarily the time it takes to produce a game, but on the feedback from the various people. Now that Bioware is with EA, everything is practically behind bars, so not as much feedback, which increases the chance of a game being a bust.

Yeah I know, before there wasn't so much patching and all that. Mainly because games didn't have as many glitches or at least that's the way I remember things. Usually there was 2 or 3 patches per game not many more than that. I think that has has to do with the idea of deadlines but I don't really know. The only thing I know is that before games weren't as glitchy.

Well, Bethesda has only recently began talking about Dawnguard. With the private beta coming out soon, I'm guessing the full release isn't far away. They've been silent about it for a really long time when you consider Skyrim released in November 2011 and the first murmurs of Dawnguard were in March 2012.
I'm the opposite when it comes to disappointment. I've never really been let down by a BioWare game. However, Skyrim was nowhere near as captivating to me as previous Bethesda games.
Anyway, I've sidetracked this thread enough. Sorry.
