The thresher in the article sounded to be about as tall as a Reaper, that is about 2 kilometer long. The thresher maw on Grunt's loyalty mission wasn't even half as long.
Not all reapers are 2km long...
Hudson had stated in another article they would be between 600km to 2km long
I'm guessin you mean 600 metres, not 600km
As for a normal sized "Maw", they ususally grow to around 90 metres overall so still way to small to take on even a 600 metre Reaper.
I'm assuming this "Colossal Thresher Maw" is about 6-7 times the size of a normal one.
That's big.

It's clearly less railroaded and linear since you don't have to spend points on one power to unlock another, you can spend them on whatever you want.

Not really. Being forced to put points in shockewave in order to unlock pull is a hell of a lot more restrictive than waiting a handful of levels before spending any remaining points.

It's the beauty of the Diablo 2 system w/o pre-reqs and only level based unlocks, which according to the twitter are generous in that most stuff should all be available within the early levels.
There is no way this is even remotely linear compared to what we had in ME1/ME2

How much has game dev increased in complexity? On #KOTOR I scheduled production myself. #ME3 takes around 25 leads to plan the team's work!
