"If you're bringing over an ME1 save, you maaay want those Matriarch Writings... :) There."

WHHAAAAAAAT?!

That's a good news. I completed those quests in every ME playthrough I did.

I got those, but on my first playthrough I didn't bother to find 2 more light elements for the UNC: Valuable Minerals assignment. :S

Does this mean that the turian colony insignias and the prothean data discs will also play some role in ME3?

Only found the Matriarch Writings, Prothean discs, Turian insignias, etc. on my first playthrough of ME1. Never bothered on my other games - so now the Galaxy is doomed for all my other Shepards. Ah well, then I'll have to aim for epic failure in all my other game saves.

Hell yes! I've finished every single side-quest and quests in my Journal. I wonder what those Matriarch writings inform of as it was impossible to read them back in ME1. Maybe a prophecy of organic victory over machines ? Perhaps due to her "visions" she wrote down location of tech capable of destroying the Reapers? Speculation about her writings are limitless!

I seriously doubt that missing anything in ME1 or ME2 will prevent Shepard from succeeding. It might mean that he will have to succeed with less resources at his disposal but I don't think it likely to change the end result in any significant way.

I think I completed the collection missions in all five of my ME1 playthroughs so, if anything, I might have to revisit ME1 to deliberately not complete them in order to see something different in the game!

Regards

Julian

I pray that there will be a save editor for ME3. I did all of that collection stuff once. NEVER AGAIN. But I can't blame them for wanting to reward those who bothered with that stuff.

I was always sure to collect EVERYTHING on my ME1 playthrough's, as I am naturally a completionist.

I will laugh heartily and be filled with glee if Bioware have actually made Matriarch's Writing and all those other collections from ME1 actually mean something, even if it's just some bonus XP or credits for the beginning of the game.

"Which character or characters are you excited to write for."

"All of them! But especially James Vega. He's new to the IP. And he's a really fun character voiced by a great actor!"

Who could it be?

I hope he will be awesome, always like to give chance to new charachters.
If they will made James something similiar like Tychus was in Starcraft 2 (badass and bro) it would be epic.

Great news :) We'll get rewarded for those tiresome hours of collecting after all. I always collected them, as I'm kind of a completionist :P

I know but ignore betrayal and think off those funny talks they had. Thats something i would like too see with James.
P.S He betrayed him for freedom, anyone would do it.

Ugh.  Unless gathering all of the writings unlocks Samara as a squadmate or something of equal importance or impact, I cannot see myself ever hunting each one down.
