That was years ago and it doesn't look like he is still mourning his wife.

How the hell Zaeed would be great romance?

And Kasumi is still mourning her boyfriend.

Zaeed is the ideal LI for a pro-human renegade femshep. There's also a dialogue option with Kelly where femshep can say she's into "bad boys" and sure enough Zaeed fits the profile.

And Kasumi? It's not like she's lusting after Jacob or that Shep can romance someone like Thane who's still upset over his wife's passing......oh wait.

I've have a cousin almost in his mid 40s, he's a big burly man. A sometimes mean tempered, tattoos, leather vests, rugged outdoors type of person.  He attends Bike shows in the west, showing off his gear.   The guy has babes half his age following him around like puppies. lol.

So yeah, women do like their bad boys.

I must say, I laughed at this story. I don't know, it's just such a funny image in my head.

Not that I'm saying it's untrue, just that it looks hilarious in my head.

EDIT: To be a little more on topic, Zulu, none of the rational people that argued against you and Elite Midget in the original variables thread said that ALL of the characters would come back. Many recognize, especially some of ME2's biggest fans, that character interaction aboard the Normandy for some characters was woefully lacking (ahem, calibrations) and are willing to concede that this is due to so many squadmates.

As such they know that bringing back a cast of 10 (because DLC characters were never really in contention) plus VS, Liara, and Wrex was just flat out unrealistic.

What they were arguing is that SOME of them would be back while you and Elite Midget argued that NONE would be back. That was the point of the original variables thread, to prove that None of the squadmates would return.

That quote that you provided in the OP pretty much establishes that you were wrong while we were right.

No, because that age was never part of continuity to begin with, since it's never once mentioned in-game or in any comics or novels.  It's from the ME2 promo website, which is noted for having dubious ages for multiple characters.  For instance, Miranda's age there makes her older than the discovery of biotics by humanity, despite the fact that part of her genetic engineering was specifically for biotic potential.

If Zaeed were only 40, that means Vido took over when he was only twenty, and that was a few years after they founded the Blue Suns.  The idea of Zaeed forming a merc band that rapidly became well-known and successful during his mid to late teens is more than a little silly.  Especially because he's said to have served in the Alliance military before doing all that, meaning he'd have had to have joined up anywhere from 13 to 15.

How dare you! Zulu is never wrong, it's the world that it's wrong if things won't go as he said! [/sarcasm]
Also, I found friggin' hilarous statements like "BW should consider the people who hate a certain character too!". Really? What else you pretend to have more than the chance to kill everyone appeared in the previous games?  The really point of this whole thread is that Zulu already knows he's wrong, but he's tring to p!ss off the hightest number possible of people before the E3, where most likely we'll have even more unquestionable proofs of the return as full squadmates of various ME2's dudes. Because that's the only reason for Zulu for being here: have someone ever seen him posting something that wasn't a "you're wrong and an idiot for thinking you're right, and here's why" post? No? Me neither. Sometimes it's funny, someothers not.  Honestly I'm just bored of all this dumb internet hate. You don't like a character? Kill it. You don't like that other people don't do that and like to talk of that certain character? Leave the board. You don't even like that that certain character is still avaible for who didn't kill it? Don't buy the game. Because this is what we're talking about. A friggin' game. And the good thing of videogames is that you can simply shut them off if you don't like them.

And please, notice that I didn't say "Tali hate", so don't start with the "shut up you talimancer!" crap. I'm equally sick of all the "I wanna kill that racist b!tch of Ash Williams!" crap, of the RPG hipsters who treat me like an imbecil because I don't like to spend hours with inventories and skill trees, of the morons who open topics whining of everything BW did in the previous games calling it "useful feedbacks" . The only reason because I don't follow my own advice and leave this board (besides my friends of privete groups) is because I know how much BioWare donesn't care of all you idiots and I wanna be here when ME3 will be out, and it will be the awesome thing it's going to be and we all laugh of the moronic users. So continue. Trow your best shots. I will be one of the ones who'll have the last laugh and there's nothing you can do for avoid that.

Have fun of us until you can.

Zulu, a pro damage control tip mate. Stop linking to a thread that says that no ME2 squadmates will be back. At least change the title to something less incriminating.
I can't change the title because Pacifien locked the thread on my request and has retires as a mod recently.

And although I admit the title of that thread has become somewhat off, the main idea of that thread is spot on:
lol
The ME3 squad will be smaller, more interactive, and that means that those affected by the Variables will have their roles reduced, in comparison to the unaffected henchmen.

Now, Liara and Virmire Survivor are the only two former squadmates, that are alive in all saves. Others are expendable => waste of ME3 resources.

=> ME2 squadmates = cameos, DLCs.
__________________________________________________________________________
On another note, make up a list of up to 5 new squadmates you wish to be in ME3. Be serious!
Are you serious anymore.

Variables really have minor effects, and any programming team could do any of this:
Phaedon wrote...

These are states, not variables, variables would have been considerably less.
(Add ALIVE and DEAD states for Morinth)
The inclusion of the squadmates, makes it evident that variables are not an issue. Out of any of these effects, you know what's the only one that could really affect character development?

Romances.

Oh and guess, what, Casey Hudson just confirmed that new players will receive intros, while imported Shepards will have a "finale" in the romance. In fact, even the ME1 returning squaddies (Liara, VS) would have that problem. Which simply does not apply. Romance just begins in a later stage.

There you go, character development flies out off the window as an argument. Next.
Then I'd say that the debate is over.

Not really rewarding, just not punishing.

Same goes with the CB. You give WMD tech to an anti-alien paramilitary group, that ends up as your enemy in ME3, but the punishment will be minor.

Admitting that the return of the whole team of ME2 plus the ME1 remains was a delusion? Good to see that you accept common sense at least now that Hudson himself has confirmed that the squad will be smaller than in ME2 and not everyone will get a permanent spot in it.  And that most of them will be downgraded to temporary followers or cameos.

It is nice to have been right all along.
