1. Claim that NO ME2 squaddies will be back.Claim that all ME2 squaddies will be back. As cameos, playeable cameos (aka temp. squaddies), maybe DLC full-time.
http://social.biowar...5/index/2267863Trolling Count #1
2. Say that "complex variables" are the reason.Say the wanted Interactivity is the reason, while the variables factor in choosing the perm. squaddies for the more interactive squad.
That is like saying that ME2's squad had less interactivity than ME1's squad, which is wrong.
3. "Complex variables" dismissed
Ah, yess, "dismissals"...
Trolling Count #2
4. Still maintain that variables are too complex.
They are, but this may be overlooked (even in cameos), the way Garrus and Tali's ME1 variables were overlooked during their recruitment missions in ME2. Which was bad and sucked.
Except that recruitment missions (not recruiting Garrus and geth data) have different outcomes.
5. Being dismissed
twice!Ah, yess, "dismissals"... again.
Trolling Count #3
6. Argue that Bioware will do a horrible job with variables "just like Tali's geth data mission from ME1"
That was before and at the very start, long before the dismissals.
Trolling Count #4
7. VS, Liara, Garrus and multiple others mentioned in GI article, some of them as squadmates.
8. Claim that that doesn't necessarily make them permanent.
9. CH: "All ME2 squaddies will be back, some permanent, some temporary etc"
10.More squadmates are confirmed as
permanent.
11. Make thread, linking to
step 1. step 2.

fix'd

Trolling Count #5
Post has been reported to mod, your constant trolling is tiring. Now if anyone doesn't have a rebuttal to this:

Zulu, a pro damage control tip mate. Stop linking to a thread that says that no ME2 squadmates will be back. At least change the title to something less incriminating.
I can't change the title because Pacifien locked the thread on my request and has retires as a mod recently.
And although I admit the title of that thread has become
somewhat off, the main idea of that thread is spot on:
lol
The ME3 squad will be smaller, more interactive, and that means that those affected by the Variables will have their roles reduced, in comparison to the unaffected henchmen.

Now, Liara and Virmire Survivor are the only two former squadmates, that are alive in all saves. Others are expendable => waste of ME3 resources.
=> ME2 squadmates = cameos, DLCs.

On another note, make up a list of up to 5 new squadmates you wish to be in ME3. Be serious!
Are you serious anymore.
Variables really have minor effects, and any programming team could do any of this:
Phaedon wrote...

These are states, not variables, variables would have been considerably less.
(Add ALIVE and DEAD states for Morinth)
The inclusion of the squadmates, makes it evident that variables are not an issue. Out of any of these effects, you know what's the only one that could really affect character development?
Romances.
Oh and guess, what, Casey Hudson just confirmed that new players will receive intros, while imported Shepards will have a "finale" in the romance. In fact, even the ME1 returning squaddies (Liara, VS) would have that problem. Which simply does not apply. Romance just begins in a later stage.
There you go, character development flies out off the window as an argument. Next.
Then I'd say that the debate is over.
