Yes, and please show me where it said that "NO ME2 squaddies will be back"???
As opposed to "NO ME2 squaddies will be recruitable by default"?
That trolling is on your count.
Phaedon wrote...
Say the wanted Interactivity is the reason, while the variables factor in choosing the perm. squaddies for the more interactive squad.
That is like saying that ME2's squad had less interactivity than ME1's squad, which is wrong.
First, the ME2 squad is more interactive, as the squadmates would have comments on many locations, sometimes would start talking to each other.
Second, it's not like that, it's like this: it's like saying that ME2's squad had less interactivity than it could have had if it was cut down to, say, 8 squaddies, thus allowing 50% more lines per squadmate on average to be written and recorded, including squad banter and whatnot.

Ah, yess, "dismissals"...
OK, I'll give you that, if you feel trolled, you're trolled and it's trolling. That, however, was not my intent. It was using a widely popular meme signifying how feeble may be the reasons for someone to dismiss something. You dismiss the complexity of the variables, because you don't see it, and don't think it's necessary to account for them in a meaningful (as in, "character development") manner. That's, like, your opinion, man! No better than mine. Just to remind you of something people feel is their duty to constantly remind me of... So yeah.
Phaedon wrote...
4. Still maintain that variables are too complex.
They are, but this may be overlooked (even in cameos), the way Garrus and Tali's ME1 variables were overlooked during their recruitment missions in ME2. Which was bad and sucked.
Except that recruitment missions (not recruiting Garrus and geth data) have different outcomes.
Except those different outcomes are so lame, that they don't reflect the significance of the variables. No "old times" with Garrus? Don't matter, he's a bro regardless. Screwed over Tali? Nevermind, she still wants to be your space princess.

That was before and at the very start, long before the dismissals.
Your dismissals came months after I was saying that the data denial was handled badly.

10.More squadmates are confirmed as permanent.

The inclusion of the squadmates, makes it evident that variables are not an issue. Out of any of these effects, you know what's the only one that could really affect character development?
Well, naturally, the expendables are a waste of bytes even if they are temp or DLC squad, but I am still not convinced that BioWare has taken that to the extreme and made Garrus a full-time-recuitable-by-default-no-strings-attached squadmate.
In any case, I'm happy I killed him off, as I expect his character development to be handled poorly, and the variables disregarded, and him generally being a bag of fan service rather than a character fitting with the bigger picture of the universe. But there again, even my own Cerberus loyalist "TIM's lapdog" Shepard turns out to have been working for Cerberus "begrudgingly", so who gives a F about Garrus.
