1. Claim that NO ME2 squaddies will be back.
Claim that all ME2 squaddies will be back. As cameos, playeable cameos (aka temp. squaddies), maybe DLC full-time.

Yes, and please show me where it said that "NO ME2 squaddies will be back"???

As opposed to "NO ME2 squaddies will be recruitable by default"?

That trolling is on your count.
Phaedon wrote...
2. Say that "complex variables" are the reason.
Say the wanted Interactivity is the reason, while the variables factor in choosing the perm. squaddies for the more interactive squad.
That is like saying that ME2's squad had less interactivity than ME1's squad, which is wrong.
First, the ME2 squad is more interactive, as the squadmates would have comments on many locations, sometimes would start talking to each other.

Second, it's not like that, it's like this: it's like saying that ME2's squad had less interactivity than it could have had if it was cut down to, say, 8 squaddies, thus allowing 50% more lines per squadmate on average to be written and recorded, including squad banter and whatnot.

Ah, yess, "dismissals"...
OK, I'll give you that, if you feel trolled, you're trolled and it's trolling. That, however, was not my intent. It was using a widely popular meme signifying how feeble may be the reasons for someone to dismiss something. You dismiss the complexity of the variables, because you don't see it, and don't think it's necessary to account for them in a meaningful (as in, "character development") manner. That's, like, your opinion, man! No better than mine. Just to remind you of something people feel is their duty to constantly remind me of... So yeah.
Phaedon wrote...
4. Still maintain that variables are too complex.
They are, but this may be overlooked (even in cameos), the way Garrus and Tali's ME1 variables were overlooked during their recruitment missions in ME2. Which was bad and sucked.
Except that recruitment missions (not recruiting Garrus and geth data) have different outcomes.
Except those different outcomes are so lame, that they don't reflect the significance of the variables. No "old times" with Garrus? Don't matter, he's a bro regardless. Screwed over Tali? Nevermind, she still wants to be your space princess.
6. Argue that Bioware will do a horrible job with variables "just like Tali's geth data mission from ME1"
That was before and at the very start, long before the dismissals.
??????????????

Your dismissals came months after I was saying that the data denial was handled badly.

8. Claim that that doesn't necessarily make them permanent.
9. CH: "All ME2 squaddies will be back, some permanent, some temporary etc"
10.More squadmates are confirmed as permanent.
11. Make thread, linking to step 1.

I hope you didn't forget to report yourself for feeding the troll with more spam pics, right?

The inclusion of the squadmates, makes it evident that variables are not an issue. Out of any of these effects, you know what's the only one that could really affect character development?
Well, naturally, the expendables are a waste of bytes even if they are temp or DLC squad, but I am still not convinced that BioWare has taken that to the extreme and made Garrus a full-time-recuitable-by-default-no-strings-attached squadmate.

In any case, I'm happy I killed him off, as I expect his character development to be handled poorly, and the variables disregarded, and him generally being a bag of fan service rather than a character fitting with the bigger picture of the universe. But there again, even my own Cerberus loyalist "TIM's lapdog" Shepard turns out to have been working for Cerberus "begrudgingly", so who gives a F about Garrus.

Especially because he's said to have served in the Alliance military before doing all that, meaning he'd have had to have joined up anywhere from 13 to 15.

That's how tough Zaeed is. He put wodden blocks in his shoes to make himself look taller and lied to the Alliance recruiter.

No, that some silly PG13 version. I know what really happened: she was all alone at home, and Zaeed's football flew in her window. He came for it...  She actually needed a reqruit to fill her quota, so she blackmailed Zaeed in the morning that it'd been a good time and all, but if he didn't sign up, she'd press rape charges. Zaeed could have said that technically it was he who'd been raped... But he always was a gentleman. BTW, that's how Earthborn Shepard was made.

You were wrong.

PERIOD

Everyone here knows it, thanks to the way you present yourself and your ideas.

Not only were you wrong, but when you originaly proclaimed how "ME2 charecters would only be cameos", you were speaking about this idea as though it were fact rather than speculation.  You were uterly convinced of this, and would'nt budge on the issue.   Now you've been proven wrong.  Period.

So window dress it however you like.   The sad end result is that no one here will ever take you seriously again.

His opponents acted the same. Just sayin'

BTW Nice thread, bad that it won't have necessary effect after all these confirmations.

You can easilty go and check his previous thread, but I have a feel that you won't notice anything strange.

That's quite enough bickering for one thread.

If you find yourself frustrated with another user, go sit outside for 5 minutes and come back. Insults and petty fighting will just get both parties temp banned
