Bann Vaughn is obviously a major d-bag in this origin, and I gladly ended him... What made me laugh was that on my first go around as a Human Noble I killed him in the dungeon in Denerim... I thought at first it was a little out of character even for an assassin, but I just didn't like something about him... I guess I was right!!

Even if you ask him about elves in the dungeon, he clearly shows that he thinks he is entitled and he has it coming. I always make sure to get his key for his stash before killing him, of course.
After playing through the city elf origin for the achievement, I just wish that I could do more than just stab him through the prison bars. At least while playing the CE origin, my city elf decapitated him: a fitting ending.

On my first playthrough (Human Noble), I let Vaughn rot, while saying "No one misses you." Then I played a City Elf Origin, and I kill him every time.
On the other hand, I am dissapoint that I have to call myself King of Antiva when you first meet him, as opposed to calling myself a Queen. I wanted to make a reference to the crazy templar you have to bribe.

Heh. I didn't realize guys got a "king of Antiva" line. All my female Wardens always use the "queen of Antiva" line when I run into him.

"I'm going to enjoy killing you." > "No deal."

On my current game (City Elf) I played the ultra capitalist: took the money in the origin quest, ensuring he'd still be alive so I could rob him again in the dungeon later on.
While I made 120 sovereigns from him in total, returning to the Denerim Alienage gave a *very* different welcome from the usual one.

I can guess how it was different, but how, specifically?
You have me curious, and I don't think I could ever keep that scumbag alive during the Origin in a City Elf playthrough. I don't think I could keep him alive from this point on at all, and the only time I did was in my first playthrough when I didn't realize exactly all he had done.
