I had a romance with Isabela and the friendship meter was all the way to the left, yet when I faced the Arishok she didn't show up??? I told her that I would side with the Qunarii before To Catch a Thief.  How did my game get screwed up? I want to fight the Arishok solo...

Take Fenris and you can also fight him solo. And I think before To Catch a Thief, Isabela comes back if you tell her that you'll get the relic for her?

Did you do her 'questioning beliefs' for that act?

For Isabela to return at the end of Act 2, you need to do her "Questioning Beliefs" quest by talking to her at the Hanged Man before you do her "To Catch a Thief" quest.

That's what people keep telling me too (there's another thread out there somewhere), but I've been doing exactly what you're supposed to (Questioning Belifs, told her she could have the relic, had friendship maxed, etc., etc.). Isabela has not come back for me since the patch (xbox 360), so I've gotten skunked in 2 playthroughs.

If you've done Isabela's questioning beliefs quest, she should return at the very end of Act 2 when you reach the Viscount's throne room. If she is not showing up then, I suggest going to the X360 tech support forum and posting there with as much information as you can so that they can try to find the bug and fix it.

You tell her she has to give the relic back and she comes back.

I don't know what happened in your game, I would feel just plain wrong if I told her she could keep the relic especially with Fenris in the party (he's full friendship but it still feels wrong).

She will come back even if you tell her she can keep the relic under the right circumstances no?

Whether you tell her to give it back or not actually has no bearing on whether she comes back. The only thing that matters is completing Questioning Beliefs.

Wrong, I have always told her she can keep the relic and she has always came back.
