@ OP, don't think there's going to be much to worry about, Bioware realise that there are a lot of gamers who want the game to be easier to experience the story (I'm not one of them, I don't think I've ever played ME2 below Veteran). As long as the difficulty levels are about the same as they were in ME2 I'll be happy.

I am disabled. So far I've been able to complete both games on Casual, but nothing higher. So, have your Super-Insane mode, but let me be able to play the end of my Shep's story.

*cough* easy mode *cough*.

What do you not understand about "EASY MODE"?

It's there for people like you. To say they should make the entire game fundamentally easier because you are disabled is absurd. And don't say that's not what you meant because if it is the AI group mechanics that accounts for the increase in difficulty (i.e it isn't simply more enemy HP/DMG). They would have to fundamentally change the combat system to make it easier.

The OP is asking that Casual 'easy mode'  not be made harder in ME::3.  That is all that he's asked for.

just because ME3 will be less focused on cover and AI is more likely to flank you doesn't mean it's going to be harder across the board

i'm sure on easy the enemies will still fall quickly

Who wouldn't want to be challenged in a game?

Me.  Two reasons.

First, I can't aim.  At all, nothing, not happening, hours and hours of practice.  The more ME becomes a shooter, the less I like it.  Give me a mouse and a keyboard and I can circle-strafe with the best of them, but give me two analog sticks and I end up dead and looking at the sky in any FPS out there. The only reason I can play Fallout 3/New Vegas is because of VATS, otherwise, those would be a no go as well.  I ended up playing ME on Hardcore most of the time just because I have played it so much, but if ME3 is more of a shooter, I'll be seriously upset.

Second, I work all day, five days a week, 40+ hours, and I don't want to come home and relax by playing a game in which I die over and over and over. That's work, and I already have a job.  Demon's Souls anyone?  Given away with nary a regret, and Dark Souls will stay on the shelf in the store for me.

Well regarding controls: mouse+keyboard = win with aiming, analog sticks = I probably suck at this too, but I only play ME on PC so I wouldn't know about the sticks. On the other hand, I think you're being too modest... point/aim/shoot/cover... I betcha you do harder things than aiming at your work place B). But I do understand your views. I am all for things being moderately challenging on a Casual difficulty, but I also want the game to have "smarter" AI on harder difficulties (especially insanity) & not just bigger health/armor/shield bars. Maybe I want too much but the word here is "strategy". I wish for ME3 to determine the player to think more strategically before he does something. What Casey Hudson said about enemy AI working together sounded great, but I'm curious to see it ingame & not just on paper.

Every mode will inherently be "harder" based on the mechanics of combat/enemy AI. This could just be a load a bull**** and everyone will probably be on here talking about how easy it is, but in theory the game will be FUNDAMENTALLY harder. Albiet in a non-cheap way. They can't make it super duper button mash easy with altering the fundamental mechanics.

I can beat just about any game on any mode without cheats or glitching. Unless....the game is made ridiculously hard, such as Ninety Night Nights. There is no difficulty setting and its just about impossible for the average gamer, but guess what, I beat it and have all achievements. :P

So what I'm saying is, no matter how hard a game is, all you need is determination to be it. Never give up, and if you get frustrated, set it down and come back later.

Just don't let the snipers be one-hit-killers and we're fine.

Yeah that and rockets were the worse thing about ME1 on Insanity. Though they really aren't much worse then they are on Normal.

CRITICAL MISSION FAILURE

Anyways ME2 was a tad too easy there's really only a few fights that actually challenge you. The only enemies that are ever really a huge threat are the Flamethrowers and or Harbinger's magic missiles. Well the YMIR Mechs as well I suppose. I dunno my beef is namely once you're behind cover you're invincible unless the enemy gets behind you and or flanks you. I'm hoping some of the cover is destructible in ME3 as that would make things a little more interesting/believable.

I like what Lair or the Shadowbroker did with the Boss Fight, so I hope there's more of that in ME3.

I do share some of the concern about speed. IMO ME2 has a pretty good combat pace. I don't mind faster animations or perhaps a slightly faster run, but I think for the most part ME2 had it right. I don't really want ME3 to become one of those twitch shooters that favors those who are high on Mountain Dew/Energy Drinks or are just ADD. I prefer ME3 remain a little more tactical let's say?

My one concern is CQC...sounds like theres a lot more of it in ME3.....I'm a sniper through and through, so long as I can long range and mid range, I'm fine... even managed an Insanity run on ME2, which I'm still surprised at....but when swarmed, I loose it, I cannot CQC....I like to move around so I'm not just bunkering down and camping...but swarming...AAARRRGGGHHH....:crying:
