I'm translating some dialogs and this old sentence "Don't get my Irish up" was a possible translation for the following german sentence: Reg dich nicht künstlich auf!
That means in nowadays' english as much as Don't come in rage, if not needed or maybe Don't get upset, if not necessary.
I would like to use this irish phrase as follows: Don't get one's Elves up!
It sounds like directly taken from the earth's middle-age and placed into Ferelden, but I'm not sure, if this sentence fits the message I intend.
