just wondering, if i decided to make Isabela an archer and gave her either varrics marksman tree or Sebs Royal archer tree would she get the benefit of the 'friend passive' skill from these or would she only use her own one?
Or should i just give her any of the PC rogue trees...like Assasin?

Fun factor dictates that you should not have the assassin tree for her.

Varric's is pretty decent and would let her get a ton of attack speed buffs. She'd definitely benefit from that. Seb's passives are kind of lame for friendship and rivalry. Especially for a guy that is an archer. They are more defensive, but you know, with range, a good offense is the best defense. Overall, it's an okay set, but not too great. If you are grabbing two, I'd grab Varric and Assassin if you are going for something super powerful.
I'd also recommend grabbing a couple of Sabatoge talents. Those are pretty useful for an archer. Maybe not all of them though. Depends on what you want from your Archer.

Im assuming friendship passives are only active when you have the person in your team, but if Izzy has the Royal Archer tree would getting her friendship to max give me both an attack speed and dmg res buff (from Royal Archer)?
