I see on hear many of you having the same problems with ME2 as I, the inexplicable tendency to crash with unnerving frequency at random points every five to ten minutes. I have found the solution, on my set up at least and am here to share my fix in the hopes of helping others to do the same.
I had thought it was a compatiblity issue or something graphics related and it is far simpler than that. Go to the configuration setting page on game launch, select AUDIO, change the setting from DEFAULT to ON. Problem solved.
I am not technically minded but this appears to have worked, for me at least. I do know that the default audio software is pretty poor in all systems but many of us have installed software much better through the games we play and I am presuming that switching from default allows the game to use other software than that which is standard. I would be interested to hear from any of you who use this and successfully six your problems as it would be nice to know that I have helped. Being a paragon and all
