I loved the graphics of ME1 and ME2 was way better with a much more futuristic feel. My issue is that I think we should build on that a lot in ME3 and one way I feel would help greatly is lighting and colour. I agree with ME2 having to be a darker scenario and so have darker scenery and darker colours but I also felt that they were a bit bleak and plain. My point is that, for example, there was supposed to be small lights in the armour of all the characters and even the enemies. Except those lights just ended up being colours on a screen. Maybe those lights should radiate a lot more with more light effects (e.g. you feel the light shining on the environment around, or maybe in your eye?). Such as you can see a picture of the moon but when you go out in a remote area and look at the clear sky and moon is full, you can see the bluish white colour radiating around on the ground, the car paint and your skin even. The guns when the ammo powers were turned on had amazing colours around them, and same with holograms in ME2, but even holograms radiate some light, especially in the dark environment like Thane mission. Maybe a mild flashlight effect from the guns and your armour would also be mezmerising. I don't want this to turn into another game like Alan Wake or anything don't get me wrong but something like this could be a part of what is missing to propel ME3 and make it a game where no one can argue would be the best game ever made (at least graphics-wise). I want to feel the light fluid-like and move around objects in the environment. Not bright lights, I just wanna see them and if you feel they were there, maybe enhance them? Like in the CGI videos of ME3 (and even ME2) the lighting was perfect and in ME2 I just didn't feel the lighting as much and just saw really nice colours. I know this may be hard to do or expensive, but if it is possible, it would make the game much much better. After all, us humans have always been attracted to shiny and colourful lights.

it's been confirmed that ME3 will be using colours from the Super Mario palette due to complaints that the last too games were too blue/orange and dark.

Not colours, light effects. Like the last 15 seconds of this trailer:
The light against the armour as he was moving is what I mean. Light from environment to character and from character to environment.
