At the end of setup, at the point where setup is verifying DirectX instalation I get an error message that reds "String ERROR_DX_INSTALL not found in thread". After I click Ok, Setup finishes and I can open the launcher, I click play, get the loader screen and then nothing. Ive removed and re-installed a few times, made sure I have the latest DirectX, and double-checked the requirements, and Im just fine there... Im not great with a fixing this kind of stuff.. anyone have any suggestions?

yea, i have the same error, except it let me play just fine. im not sure why. i installed it with a cracked copy, completely uninstalled, and then with the original copy, so i have no idea. i think i might already have the required directx support, but nwn2 installer is just fail-sauce. hope to get some useful responses from the mods. this game is awesome!

which is funny since i got it to work on this comp before and on my other comp. gonna try manual patching the first patch and then seeing if it jump starts the autopatcher.

I've had the exact same problems and I've reinstalled multiple times.

What's the issue?

I was able to update my game (partially manually, partially with the autoupdater) after copying the contents of CD1 onto my harddrive and running the installer from there after deleting the DirectX folder. I also ran the installer as administrator.
