Never thought of it. I should go to bed, so just a few fast examples I though in a moment:

-Opening (could also work for boss): Welcome to the Jungle (Guns n' Roses).
-Boss (mainly for the title): Death or Glory (The Clash).
-Romance: Is this love? (Bob Marley).
-Fighting undead: Astro Zombies (Misfits).
-More undead: Monster Mash (Bobby "Boris" Pickett).
-Boss is dead: We Are the Champions (Queen).
-Ending, or Game Over/respawn: The End (The Doors).

I like this thread. I'll come back if I think of something else.

There's a NWN1 module with it, Perchance to Dream. It's for Wizards, you may like it.

-A character finding their hidden potential and proving themselves to be the hero you always knew they were: Frog's theme from Chrono Trigger!

And it's by Hugie, so of course it's awesome.

To Here Knows When - My Bloody Valentine
Duress - Swervedriver

Building on the pirate theme most any song from the "Rogue's Gallery" would fit a port city. What tavern would be complete without John C Reilly: Fathom the Bowl

Music from the Gladiator would generaly be good. I would like to be able to get me some of that.

I was going to mention Gladiator too. The Last of the Mohicans is cool too, there was a trailer of a Dragonlance module with that music.

Edit:

I've always liked the music from the Sean Connery/Nicholas Cage movie, The Rock, and I did snag a track to use in the module I made for the SoZ Holiday project.

Also, anything by Hans Zimmer.

Harumph!

Presumably you've come across the word slowdive before.

I would hazzard a guess the rest is an age thing.Image IPB

Obscure...probably...I guess so, but still good and would be good in NWN2. As a side note, The Oscar-nominated score for Gladiator was composed by Hans Zimmer and Lisa Gerrard. Lisa Gerrard is one of the two members of Dead Can Dance. So in a round about way, others have suggested Dead Can Dance as well Image IPB.
