Is it really fair to attack the GI preview of Ashley as being dramatically oversexualized?

Fox news had this big hissy fit over the liara romance in me1. And Everyone has access to mods... Just people dont know how to use em and theirs a big tutorial over how to use em... Specially good in Dragon age origins.

Fox news wasn't talking about Liara.  They said ME was an interactive porn game.  They said you could directly control your actions during the romance scene.  Way worse than just complaining about Liara.

And console gamers don't have access to mods.  We can edit save games if we're serious about it, but no mods, sadly.

How do you justify a magic increase of Ash's breast??!! Neither casual suit nor combat suit. You can't excuse that nonsense and unreal change. Feminity...?! seriously, What the hell are you saying?!
Simply, Bioware leave realism for a topical man-sight change. My opinion, ME more and more try to get in a Blockbuster (yeah, like Hollywood) where the need to reach new (male or the male-concept they have) customers get over the rest. From ME to ME2 exist an abysmal difference. From ME2 to ME3, no words...Hopefully it doesn't happen. But, experienced, nowadays the better position about ME evolution is skepticism. They have already surprised us with oversexualized changes so many times, why now will it be different??

The sideboob in the lovescene was pretty generous in the first game.  Just saying.

I know.
I still don't see what relevance this has to people wanting characters to be presented in character and with armour when in combat.

And Everyone has access to mods... Just people dont know how to use em and theirs a big tutorial over how to use em... Specially good in Dragon age origins.

Not console gamers.
At least not by any easy means.

wow

it's DA2's forum Pre-launch all over again!

I'm still curious about Bioware's motivations and modus pensandi behind this new look.

I justify it by saying, all females in ME1, pretty much were the same body model with a different head slapped on top.(except for a few exceptions.....cough..Benezia....cough)

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go back and hide under my table before the pitch forks come out. :?

True. Ash's size changes when she takes her clothes off, how come nobody was angry at that.

Oh my bad, alliance fatigues have an inbuilt feature that reduces the bust of female personnel in order to facilitate a more efficient working environment where both male and female personnel are present. And in ME3, Ash is in a plain clothes section of the Alliance, explaining the increased bust size and non regulation haircut.:P

Yes I did and she looked like a soldier in ME 1 and even in that one scene in 2 she still looked like a soldier . so yeah I am happy she looks more like a woman in 3 even though I dislike her

Oh boy, this can't end well...

Well, I'm not happy with this change if only because it looks like Ashley raided Miranda's closet, stole her haircut and got a boob job. That just doesn't seem something Ashley would do based on how I understood her character from ME1.
I'm sure Ashley fans can come up with better reasons.

if you played ME1 how exactly can you say that outfit is in synch with her character? Wait, do you even care about it? because if you do not there is no point in this

Sure you didn't. And frankly, even if you weren't, it is illustrative of the point of the OP.

Making mountains out of molehills is dramatic sexualization.

Everyone had the same generic body type in ME1. Therefore, since Bioware wants squadmates to be more unique, they will get new unique body models. So if Ash gets a greater bust, then she always had one. We don't know what her body looks like lore wise, she didn't have a body unique to her in ME1.

ME1 and its cutscenes, pre-release advertisements, and even ME2 (in which any unique swap-in could have been done) are all lore.

I think everybody who is complaining about Ash's new look is just jealous. They can't handle the fact that she looks good in it so they decide to come with stupid arguments like that she stole Miranda''s outfit or whatever.

If you didn't romance her in the first place then you have no reason to complain about it.

Get over it.

'If you don't agree with me, you're being petty. Stop it.'

Yeah. That's a mature, convincing argument.

You're right, even though i'm a heterosexual male, deep down I've always dreamt of having a body like Ashley's.

I must say that I'm totally fine with the new outfit. I only just hope it's not what wears all the time and where ever she is (ala Miranda).

Ashley is one of my number one characters and is the character I have romanced across 98% of my ME1 runs. I know exactly who she is and what I like about her; she's not the kind of person who would go out on the battlefield with that kind of outfit.

It is true that each character needs an individual development. But not an oversexualized development like it seems.

And casual wear...?? It say to us how really her breasts are, but when she wears it her breasts aren't remotely as ME3 photo appear.
