i'm working on the ally achievements right now. got soldier, sentinal, turian, and quarian. now i'm doing a wrex/liara playthrough for the last two.

however, now i'm finding out that with my shep as a vangaurd, and with wrex and liara in the party, i have ZERO tech skill. which means missing out on a lot of hacking terminals that give quests.

is it still possible to unlock the asari ally achievement without having the tech skills required to decrypt the potential quests?

IIRC, there are no consoles that are actually required to start quests, usually you can get the started by just jumping to the correct system. So while you'll miss some xp/loot you should still be able to get the achievement. Even the loot/xp isn't really that big of a deal, since a lot of the places (most non storyline worlds), you can go back to with a tech to deal with that.

what about that huge geth incursion mission? do you know if that's accessible by just flying to the system? or does it have to be unlocked in feros at the terminal where you destroy the arm?

Just fly there... I don't recall having to complete Ferros first, but if you miss the terminal, the system should still be accessible. If all else fails, (and I could be wrong about Ferros because I haven't checked), a lot of those terminals are still accessible after the mission is completed, so finish everything up, go back to the ship, get Tali, go straight to the terminals, get the information, then go back to the ship.

On the last mission you will probably need a tech to go back to get the data, but shouldn't be an issue, also liara has electronics skill and if you take decryption as a bonus you would have it covered.
