Also, how would having a different blood chemistry affect blood magic? As far as I saw spiders who, atleast in real life, have a different blood chemistry is affected the same as everybody...

I sort of doubt it. I think a better question is this: How does being *pregnant* affect you as a blood mage?

I don't see any reason to think it should effect it in any way. Are you implying that a mother blood mage would be affected because of the need to share blood with a baby? In that case I think it would only matter if she would be using her own blood, as she would risk death (of baby or both).
And if we talk about pregnant mages, what about possesion? Could a demon posses baby instead of a mother?

That's using blood magic on them to attack them; using spider blood for other purposes could have different results.
Well yes, but wouldn't it mean that some blood magic should affect creatures without blood?

The attack is made with their own blood, though, so it wouldn't really work.Jugo616 wrote...

Chm... That does make some sence.

I'm not sure that would work; menstrual blood isn't really blood as such. I mean, there's blood in the shed uterine lining, but it's not the same thing biologically speaking. Whether it's the same thing magically speaking is something you'd have to ask Merrill ...
Blood is blood, whatever contamination makes it useles is a different question. Which I ask...

I'm not sure if the "blood" thing would be the issue it's the wild mood swings that would get you (berserker mode), but I guess you can tack on the fact there is excess blood loss = more blood magic power without necessarily inflicting self injury perhaps.
Possessed pregnant blood mage/mage in general- for some reason those Xenomorphs from the Alien series pop into mind.

Hmm. And I thought, "is this one worse than my suggestion the other day of a DLC companion: a well meaning blood mage with leukemia whose spells always backfire like the senile old aunt on Bewitched?" ... Should I be ashamed or proud of that?

I find thst to be in poor taste, and no funny at all. You should definitely be ashamed of yourself.

Unfair? What about the cramps/pain/bloatedness and moodswings? Perfectly fair to get an advantage after all that.
Er...well...It would really depend on said female mage, actually. If that blood is even usable at all, it would not be a dependable or equal boost for every mage.

I imagine for the blood that's there it works. But I don't see it as an unfair advantage. It's not as though women have more blood as a result of this. They just spill blood more often. But blood seen is no more useful in terms of potential power than the blood available (blood inside). Perhaps it would lead to the perception that females have an advantage. But I don't think that perception would be in line with reality.
Really, men have more blood on average because they're bigger on average. But that's not much of an advantage either because you can't use anywhere near all your blood without dying. I suppose the best blood mage is one with the best mind. And there are probably no important gender differences there, much as one member of a particular sex might be inclined to believe based on his/her failed attempts at communication and courtship.
