When I successfully freeze or petrify someone, I usually have to have my mages do the shattering. I've been messing around in tactics trying to figure out how to set my rogues and warriors to use an automatic crit attack against frozen/petrified enemies. Despite there being a dozen or so different enemy statuses, none of them seem to be quite what I'm looking for. Do they fall under one of the existing catagories I'm not aware of?
What does being frozen/petrified count as in tactics?

Immobilized? Though that could be anything and have you wasting stone fist on paralyzed targets.

There is nothing specific to frozen or petrified. Anything you put it as would also include paralysis and probably force field/crushing prison.
That said, immobilized can work. So can Can't Attack. But they will attack more than just frozen or petrified targets.

Paralyzed, Immobilized, Can't Attack, etc. Which is best depends on your party setup and what spells you're actually using. For me it's usually Paralyzed as that has the least overlap since I don't use Mass Paralysis but I do often use things like Pinning Shot, Sleep, etc. The best way to handle it is to do it yourself, especially since timing counts and using tactics the Stonefist or Critical Shot can often hit too late.

Usually I don't have enough frozen targets to need another Stone Fist. If I do I queue Wynne's Stone Fist up myself. Don't trust the AI to pull off good combos. If you want things done do it yourself, or put Force Field on Shale and go AFK.

The AI has a pretty quick response time, though.
I have Morrigan, for example:
1: Self: Health >=75%; Jump to 4
2: Enemy: Highest Health; Vulnerability Hex
3: Enemy: Highest Health; Drain Life
She gets the combo off consistently, hehe. The only real issue is, I agree, with trying to Shatter.
