O.K. This is more like an announcement than discussion thread. Of course, feel free to post and discuss your ideas here, but, first and foremost, share you opinions with Mr. Manveer Heir, Bioware game designer.

Of course, it would be nice if this thread or at least the "message" lived long enough to reach as much BSN members as possible.

I am not much of an infiltrator fan myself, so I can't provide much feedback, but I am sure here are some good infiltrators with creative ideas.

Since there's more melee in ME 3, I would love a neck snapping animation or back stab when I sneak up on somebody in camo.

Brainstorm session:

Somewhat inspired by StarCraft, a sort of "lockdown" round that functions like Overload by stunning synthetics or disabling weapons, with the ability to ignore shields/barriers/armor would be an interesting skill. It's different from disrupter ammo in that it functions like concussive shot, and it is different from Overload in that it doesn't cause damage to shields or synthetics, but it does ignore all armor types.

A skill that fires a munition that can penetrate progressively increasing layers of cover (think of "bunker buster" bombs) would be neat.

A speed-boosting toggle like that of the Crysis Nanosuit might result in some interesting synergy with cloak.

The ability to create a hologram of yourself that can distract fire would be cool.

I would like the ability to make a sound that attracts enemies. Say my squad is getting shot at and I can't reach the enemy, so I use my omni-tool to make a noise, like an alarm (or Friday) to make the enemies investigate what the noise is. Then when they come to me I can use cloak to hit them from their blind side.

A hologram would be pretty sweet.

Sounds good to me. So far the proposed ideas were:

- "shadow strike" paralyzing attack (I don't know, is it from Kasumi? I did not play that.)
- stun / freeze shots (ammo?)
- placing explosives on enemies (while invisible?)
- hacking (robots maybe?)

- and classic stuff like better ammo, stronger effect of current attacks, etc.

So yes feel free to speculate. It is great opportunity not only to improve Infiltrator class itself, but to set the precedent for other Bioware emplyees by showing them how useful we can be.

I personally would enjoy some sort of visual enhancement, maybe heat vision or night sight...

I think that that would work better for engineers.

The ability to infiltrate, and either avoid, or minimize chaos of a battle field -- depending on what squad mates you have. Thane and Kasumi + Infiltrator Shepard (example) should be able to completely devastate your enemies without them knowing where they're being hit from.

On top of that, an Infiltrator should be able to find secret paths AROUND enemies, completely avoiding some fights, and surprising conversational enemies.

You should get the same level of experience by stealthily avoiding targets, as you do taking them head on. Perhaps instead of taking the loot off of dead targets (if loot is back in), you could scan live targets, and get weapon mods that way.

Tactical Cloak needs to be more effective and last longer.

It'd be cool if there was an end evolution of Tactical Cloak that allowed shield recharge, but you'd have to pass up a damage/duration increase or something to get it.

Also, what about a gas grenade that slowly damaged the health of organics who entered the cloud regardless of shielding/armor? That'd be a cool bonus power for a new squadmate that you could unlock, loyalty-power style. Tricky to use since it only works on organics and would hurt you, too, if you're not careful (but an upgrade/evolution might change that), but a potentially devastating way to deal with tightly-packed enemies, doing damage and flushing them out of cover, or blocking off a certain route since "smarter" foes would avoid the cloud.

Putting this power under "infiltrator" thread since I'm all about fighting dirty.

I'd like the the Infiltrator scout out ahead and setting up mines at choke points. Then having the squaddies assault while the infiltrator cloaks, flanks in, and detonates said mines. Also melee finishers like neck snapping would be nice.

Tactical Cloak is almost overpowered in ME2 while I do agree it should be longer.

You need to make infiltrators so good at what they do that they can infiltrate without even trying like legion. http://bit.ly/kkMxxr

I would like the voices of squad mates to remain at regular speed when sniping.

Maybe some enemies could have heat vision, to counter the longer duration.

I'd like some meaningful stealth gameplay. Such as, if you're careful and aware of your surroundings, you can avoid many fights altogether. Let the cloaking ability not just be for combat support, but for bypassing enemies. To that purpose, give me a power evolution for the cloaking ability that lets it cover my whole squad. Give me the ability to scout forward without my squadmates following me, and to sneak up on enemies and knock them out. The ability to lock enemies into their rooms so that I don't have to fight them. Give me scout drones through the eyes of which I can see what's happening around the next corner.

Anyhow, if you really don't think they're overpowered enough, you could give them overload. That was my favorite attack as an infiltrator in ME1, and I missed it.

And hang back when sniping.  Garrus seems to think his rifle is a baseball bat.

Maybe a distract ability wherein you create a holo-image of yourself for them to shoot at.

ultimate assassinate that can kill several enemies in a single shot (provided they are in a line).
