And some of the things they say happen in "All that remains" don't happen? Or what? I just walked to lowtown, talkeds to the boy and so on.

Just sayin'.
And no, there's no "third option". It's a fixed outcome. (And with fixed I mean it stays the same regardless the choices you make.)

Click the "Edit Post" button (should be next to the Quote button) of your post, remove the spoilers and then submit.

It happens regardless of your choices. There's no way to avoid it.
