Adding all these ME 1 characters into Mass Effect 3 is fanservice but you have to remember that pretty much a large portion of the fanbase wanted it so really it just proves the popular point that what the fans want in a game isn't always whats good in a game (well, most of the time what the fan wants IS good for a game but still...)

Personally I find it kind of unrealistic that you would all of a sudden have a bunch of old squaddies in your squad...I thought you would probably have a bunch of spectres, alliance marines and new aliens or something

Then again I suppose Ashley/Kaiden and Garrus and Tali are pretty elite and maybe Garrus and Ash/Kaiden are spectres now?

Yeah Ashley/Kaiden, and Garrus are Spectres or could be Spectres. Wrex is leader of the Krogan, Liara is...powerful in multiple ways now. Tali is the only oddball, but she's intended to be the junior member of the group.

And really given what we've seen of the Spectres we've encountered, while all seemingly capable, they don't appear to play well with others.

Pathetic drivel? The whole ME1 crew is back it'd be a shock if Tali wasn't as well. That's not exactly special attention. Anyways, I don't see why anyone is particularly angry about any of this. You only need two other squaddies, of which you'll likely have a bunch of "guest" stars throughout the game and have the option of killing Tali in ME2. Get over yourself.

NEWS FLASH!!! anything can be popular. dog **** can be popular its just how you market them. So let me explain how these characters were made into these beacons ****heads across the mass effect universe

Garrus entire character is about being a stupid ass who you have to guide. It makes you feel important when you give him ****ty advice so he wont turn out to be a corrupt cop. Here's the thing, Garrus is a sniper, what the hell type of cop is that? Garrus was a lost cause and hes a turian. who gives a **** about turians, they look like my burn victims. No mass!

Tali's entire allure is the fact that you can't see her face. we all know this. she wouldnt even be HALF AS POPULAR if she was just some random asari or some crap. Oh no, the fact that i cant see her face and she has that funny accent is suppose to sell her character? Boo-****.
