That is what ultimately resulted in ME2 being BioWare's worst story in the history of the studio and that cannot happen, since this is the last game.
I personally found Dragon Age 2 to be a bit worse, but that's another issue...

I know ME3 isn’t going to give me everything I want, nor should it try. DA2 attempted to be all things to all people and look what happened there. I know ME3 is going to be a great game and will be worthy of the BioWare name, and I can’t wait!

1) I agree with this sentiment. I have a link, but will not post it as I am not sure. But ti shows a picture of Ashley in a uniform with her hair down and looks remarkably similar to Miranda.
I DO NOT LIKE THIS!
My preferred Shepard playthrough is a Renegade love interest with Ashley. She is a very rounded character, military-grounded. I cannot see her wearing something like that. Please I hope that was just concept art and not an intent for actual implementation in the game.
If it was a dress, that's fine as I would imagine it would only occur similar to when having dinner with another companion in ME 2 DLC.
But as it was a uniform it has me worried.
2) The second item I do not like is the fact that my xenopohobic Shepard from ME was forced to recruit aliens and even seemed to like Garrus even though I treated him like crap in ME.
Please bring back the xenophobic dialog.

Nope.
-What specifically are you still concerned about?
That the game is turned into all flash and no substance. The return of "Something awesome happens".
The storytelling have headed straigth downward since ME1 as the series became more and more 'game oriented', and less and less 'epic adventure oriented'. From the sounds of it, ME3 is even more focused on turning into a random action game #572354 than about telling an epic story where the player immerses him/herself in the world the story takes place in.
the fact that they are actively cutting down on possible content by removing accesibility to your old squadmembers over prolonged periods of time, just goes to show that it's all about creating 'just enough flash' for the production cash to convince people to buy it, but not investing enough soul into it to make the game it could have been.
Yet again, Electronic Arts is labouring to take the art out of videogames and streamlining it into a conveyerbelt product.

EDIT: oh actually, I am also a little concerned they will not have improved the Character Creation. Needs ability to make narrows mouths, giant eyes and longass curly hair!

From everything I have heard, I’m fairly optimistic, though still a little cautious. I’ve pretty much resigned to the fact that “old school RPG” is gone from ME forever,!
As much as I love ME1.... what old school RPG feel are you talking about exactly? I never got that feeling from ME1 to be honest....but I digress.
I'm really looking forward to ME3. Probably More so than ME2 because I loved ME2 quite a bit.
Story wise, I can understand the concern some feel, I dont personally have a problem with ME2 (Actually, even though it was off screen, The collector attacks, in the universe, felt like a bigger threat than saren I feel on a personal level to the galaxy. Where as in ME1 it was a big boogeyman kinda threat).
It does seem like Me3 is heading in the right direction with the reaper attacks and so on.
So all in all, i'm geeked.

I dont see how its turning into all flash and no substance just because EA is the parent company... that seems more like EA bias than anything to me.
As for removing squadmates, its a double edged sword I think. You complain about story, but I think what they're doing with temporary squadmates here and there makes perfect sense. Not ALL of them are tethered at the hip to Shephard and DO have their own lives and agendas once they're recruitment is over. I personally think it will be interesting to see how the other Characters grow and evolve... but thats just me.
and I also dont think that because you personally disliked the ME2 story means that its going "downhill" I mean really if we wanted to point out flaws in each ones story... we could blow a ton of holes into nearly anything written.

Read about the stuff they are telling us about: All flash. Heck, they even tried to throw off scripted events as 'anything could happen', which is the exact opposite of scripted events...
In short, Let's just disagree.

everything we've heard so far is great, the only people complaining are PS3 ME2 players who only care about characters from M2. Im glad Bioware didn't bend over for SONY and actually kept ME1 very relevent.
You do realize generic random assumptions of entire groups of people just makes you look silly, right?

You might want to take a view at their history, mate, if you call that a random generic assumption.
But I guess trolling on the forums is more fun than boring stuff like checking history, given your own history on the forums
