Anyone else hoping for this? I want to marry liara and have kids. If they rule it out of the story on account of some sort of age/alien dna not compatible with human dna plot I swear I'm gonna cry.

Asari can have children with anyone. the only romancesthat can't produce children (outside of adoption) are Garrus and Tali because of Biology. I do hope that all romnces can have marriage if both parties surivive.

Liara technically isn't old enough to have children...by about 200 years.

As long as they can get married then! :-) I still think Bioware had the romance between shep and liara as the intended romance when thinking up the story anyway.

Really?Posted Image I thought Asari could control when they went into their matron stage? Shep's gonna need another Lazarus project to be around for that.Posted Image

In her current stage of life, she's not meant to be having children. But, as the codex states, if an asari believes she is ready for it (and through regular mating), she can proceed to the next stage. So Shepard and Liara better get practising. >.>

Marriage isn't all that important to me, but a ceremony of some kind wouldn't go amiss. Just a token of commitment would be nice.

Honestly, I'd rather just leave marriage to fanfiction. Maybe just a few little gifts Sorta like how in DA2 the player could have Hawke give the companions gifts. I think that Shep and her/his LI could just give each other like a favor, maybe?
But, that's just me.

for all we know Asari are physically CAPABLE of reproducing as old as 30  but have NO DESIRE to until much later.
IRL...a 15 year old can have a baby....but we would call her young and immature...BUT that experience can mature her...though she would still be considered young.....errr,,,mature for her age (?)

but yeah...the OPTION would be nice..for marriage somewhere in ME3.....but for all LI

im not even convinced people still get married in the mass effect universe. seems a pretty dated social ritual with no real meaning.

i mean even in todays society is more about legal benefits and social pressure than an actual meaningful union ritual.

We know asari undertake a bondmate ceremony (Samara's SB files). I would love to see one.

Shepard can have children with Kaidan, Ashley, Jack, Jacob and Liara.
Shepard can't have children with Miranda, Garrus, Tali and Thane.

That said I do hope for those who romanced Liara they get an option to marry her if that's what they want. More choice all around.

Actually, to me it is unclear Shepherd can have kids with anyone save Liara. Given the experiences at the beginning of ME2, I am not sure Shepherd is fertile/virile. Asari reproduction would bypass this concern, however.

Hmmm, Maybe both Male and Fem Sheps can get pregnant after their resurrection who know what Cerberus Put inside Shepard, an Asari like uterus perhaps.

I agree. What kind of cheesebal bullsh*t ending would that be? Video games end best when the epilogue is left to the imagination.

@Blitzkrieg0811 your comment made me laugh i think there should be a wedding but not as an ending maybe an easter egg after the credits could be the child of shepard what say you to that?

That seems like a practical thing to do

Again, no good because it doesn't give any room for imagination. IMO open-ended conclusions are the best ones.

I always feel like this sort of thing is jinxing it.

Right now I'm more worried about both of them making it through the game alive.

Heck, why even have an ending at all? Just have the game end half-way through the end fight. Get the players using those dusty imaginations.
