So I've uploaded this mini UI-mod for builders: http://social.biowar...m/project/4695/.
Right now it only contains a fix for how the game would crash if you tried making your own custom background without making sure the string ID was well below your module's normal starting range.
It only supports game patch v1.03-v1.04 right now because previous versions had different texture atlases. If somebody really wanted it for older patch versions, I could offer it too, since the actual scripting change is the same. Although in that case it may just be easier for somebody to use the string ID workaround instead of this UI fix.
There's at least one other issue where the attribute points get cached in the UI for the first background you select. FramnkRulez first mentioned that one to me. I know what the fix is, but I never really investigated why it was cached in the first place or the full scope of the small changes (seemed pointless to cache it). So that may be next, but it's not really as clear-cut as a crash fix.
