Before moving into my current home, I temporarily stayed in a house near a lake.  Lakes have countless insects...and we know what loves to munch on insects.  I literally had to use an unbrella just to enter and exit the house the spider infestation was so bad.  I moved away from there, and thought I was safer living in more of a suburban area, but nooo.  The place I have now may as well be on a lake too because I'm constantly killing at least one spider a week.  They don't really bother me if they are in the kitchen hiding in some shadowy area, but I hate it when I turn on the light and one goes scurrying away from the countertop next to me, or was right next to my hand.

The thing I hate the most about them is when I see one crawling alongside my PC tower or right across my desk, or right along side the wall next my desk.  I'm always having to look up and along the walls when I enter my PC area.  I have no idea where they could possibly be coming from either. The attic is well insulated and sealed up, and I have pretty good storm windows on preventing them from getting through my old and crappy windows.  I'm actually worried more about damage to my PC than I am myself.  I was cleaning out my system the other day and noticed what looked like "bug guts" around the inner rim of the CPU fan.  :?

I have one window open right now with a screen on it, and I've checked the seals all around to make sure there was no possible way any insects or spiders could get in, and I've killed literally the largest two spiders I've seen since I've lived here over the last three days after having that window open...

Wow....And I'm in a very wet state in the US and not have that problem. In florida, spiders stay away from us. England need common lizards, they would eat all the spiders.

I'd say the inspiration is Cthulhu's face.

Creepy thought..... In Mass effect, the reapers come 50,000 years and kill every one.
And the last extiction event was 50000000 years ago and based on fossils, the event comes ever 50000000 to 100000000 years.
