Can a krogan and turian have a baby together??

Is the Turian named 'Juliet'?
Because that's what I first thought when I read this thread. A romance born between two rival groups.
Anyway, I doubt it. Turian DNA and Krogan DNA wouldn't be a match and if it were I doubt the resulting half avian half reptilian baby with a metabolism halfway between long and short life spans and a twisted body shape.
Its first words would be 'kill me'.

It's not even the amino acids that are the problem. The physical chirality of the two DNA strands cannot be processed by the same enzymes. The enzymes uses in DNA replication are very, very specific to shape and structure. There would be no way to properly fit the two new strands together once they were seperated.
And.. I'm not going to even go into the stages of meiosis but just going to leave it at that. Not even sure if OP is serious.

Turian: So are we gonna start dance fighting or he gonna snap his fingers all day?
Krogan #2: He's snappin' his fingers 'cause his trigger finger is itchy.
Turian: Ugh, disgusting.
Krogan #1: Its not scale itch!
Turian: Riiight.

How do translators work? Do they translate words or do they interpret brain waves or other sci-fi gibberish to convey meaning? The latter could potentially be used to understand a child's thoughts.
Mother: Ooh, you're so cute!
Baby: Goo goo ga ga! (Get your hands off me, witch!)
On-topic: 20, 000 years to advance far enough in biology to successfully create a cross-species hybrid. Another 30, 000 to alter Turian's dextro-amino acids. By then our Asari overlords would have taken over, though

Sure they can, OP. The baby would be turian from the waist down, and krogan from the waist up, like a horrible alien mermaid.

Recommend chain breeding for a good egg based moveset and good IV's.
The egg hatches after about 3000 steps and voila!
If you can guess the game I'm talking about, have a cookie...

Place Male Turian & Female Krogan in the day care. Then you can simply cycle up and down the path until the Daycare Man tells you about the mysterious egg he found. Takes about 2500 steps.

Yeah, Krogans and Turians might be able to have kids, just gonna to cost a lot of credits, a lot of research and the help of Mordin Solus
Also, speaking of that list of hybrid animals, does anyone think the Marine Iguana sorta looks like a Krogan? http://places.mongab...guana_beach.jpg
