Help with Un-Finished Tiles

Just down loaded ‘NWN2 Standard Interior Re-Skin Pack 01’ from the vault. Love the hak great job! Except that it looks un-finished. I posted a screenshot below so you can see what I’m talking about. The authors’ last post was in 2009 so I don’t think he is maintaining it anymore.
So… Can anybody help me fix this little problem? Just some way to fill in the white part so it looks more natural and not un-finished? Thank you.

You could try using a crate placeable and form fit it to the dimensions of the white area.

Paintings are also good for those unsightly holes. If there is one in the floor, there is a very good tile floor placeable which I have used for just that purpose in the past.

You could also try contacting Baron from RWS. I know he's retired from building new stuff, but has been open to fixing things.

After reading this thread, I installed the texture pack in my module - apparently every texture has the same flaw - over doors - it looks like the section is just not tinting or possibly a window over the door? Still I have no good ideas to cover it up other than resizing a placeable to cover it.

Yea I guess it wasn’t that big of deal. I ended up making a file of blueprints (placeables) just for this application. The crates work as does the planter, the square one. Has a nice side texture to it also.
 
@Matt, Yea I was kind of thinking of that, making a picture of wood. It’s really not that hard, I have a bunch of custom paintings in Fanglewood.

@Morbane, Yea I hear you, I guess it’s just one more thing to add to our list of a million things to do. As is the life of a modder…

I like it! There are some tiles in the main game, like the mines, where there are black lines running through them. I do the same thing with them, too.

Honestly, though, you've done a better job at hiding it than I did. *shakes fist angrily* :P

I would think this would be a fairly straightforward thing to fix. Give HF a ping, he should be able to tell you what needs to be done.

@kamal, I thought about bugging HellFire but... it just dosn't seem liike a big deal anymore. besides I have al the doors in my campaign fixed.

Yes kamal_ you are correct, how selfish of me. I tell you what, I’ll start bugging Hellfire about fixing this as soon as I get done bugging him about the thing I’m bugging him about now. Posted Image


@rjshae, yes I’m thinking seriously of doing Matts picture idea. I have already founds some nice pictures of wood and stone.

Hey! Speak of the devil. Glad you dropped by Hellfire. Have you read the post? There’s a piece missing in all the door tiles. (Picture at the top of post.) Kamal_ and I where just discussing about the prospects of maybe you coming up with a quick fix or something. Not sure what that would entail but I’d appreciate it and I know kamal_ would. LOL

it's on all door tiles?. Best case is a simple texture edit to fix the issue. Worst case is, you would have to import each tile with a door, apply a good texture and re export.

Yes all the door tiles for NWN2 Standard Interior Re-Skin Pack 01. Here's the link:  nwvault.ign.com/View.php . If you can fix it great but if it proves to time consuming, 'no problem' as stated above their are work arounds. But if you do fix the tiles it would be a great time saver for the rest of us. :)

OK, I have taken a look, and isolated the part of the texture that is above the door. the texture is working as intended. the designer left the white plaster look in some spots without changing.

What is it that you want. Do you want the white plaster areas to match the walls?

Would be the expected behavior, since that's what other tilesets do.
