Half-Life also has a really good story if you pay attention to it.

..and then there was the Reboot game .. of course it was a licensed game from EA (if I remember rightly) so what do you expect....
(Note -this comment concerns licensed games from EA during the 90s and does not reflect anything they are currently doing ...please don't ban me...... :innocent:

The tie-in game for Blade II. Please don't ask me why I played this game, other than I was on a total Blade kick at the time.

It's hard to truely compose a bad game list without going into great detail as to why the games failed since it is hard to rank games against one another across catagories of craptasticness. So what follows is a random list off the top of my head which is in no particular order and with no longwinded descriptions as to why they tanked.

Pool of Radience: Ruins of Myth Drannor - PC
Dragon Age 2 - PC
Sewer Shark - Sega CD
Sword of Sodan - Sega Genesis
Alex Kidd and then Enchanted Castle - Sega Genesis
Castlevania 64 - Nintendo 64
Milon's Secret Castle - NES
The Uncanny X-Men - NES
Legend of Zelda 2 - NES
E.T. - Atari

This right here is an example of someone picking good games just to look cool.
"i dont conform so good games suck me and my posse who all have the same viewpoints agree that conforming to one view is stupid"

Yeah, seriously. And all the big decisions or the multi-classing or warriors that could use ranged weapons. What was up with that? I really hated the fact that you could kill your companions or that there were so many companions or that character stats actually effected dialogue options. And the inventory? Forget that! I hate when I have to actually think about what to take with my party for a dungeon crawl or the party class builds. I really hated managing my party NPC armor too, that was just terrible having to equip it when I came across something my main character couldn't use. Oh and all the varieties of spells, why have all those? A person would like...have to read or something to understand such things! Image IPB

He is.  Saying Baldur's Gate around here is a death sentence.  Its regarded as one of the best games ever made by many RPG fans.  I couldn't get into it myself so I have no real comment but he just mocked you jokes on him as it was pretty pointless.

Well, posting on a web forum is pointless so the joke is on all of us...outside of entertainment and that just distracts us all from the fact we are slowly dying. Have a nice day!

I suppose I can see how someone who only started playing RPGs in the last 5 or 6 years could consider BG a bad game, considering how us old timers pine for it. The definition of a computerized RPG has really changed in the last decade, to point of being meaningless. Other than Drakensangs, the NWNs, KotORs and Icewind Dale 2, I can't think of a western "RPG" released since BG 2 that I'd consider a RPG by the old standards. As much as I like the Witcher, Deus Ex, ME2, Alpha Protocol and DA:O I don't consider them RPGs. If it isn't turn based or RTWP running pseudo turns it isn't a traditional RPG.

This thing won't let me quote, but @ Rockworm503.

As for trying to be cool, I really don't care what anyone here thinks of me one way or another because it's the internet. Anyways, I guess you can read my mind from 1000 miles away to make that statement. Maybe you play too many mainstream games or something, but those games are not good at all in my opinion. Do you get all your game decisions from IGN or something?

Fallout: 3 had a terrible story, butchered lore, exhaustingly easy combat, terrible dialogue, and plotholes that doesn't make a good game for me especially when you butcher the Fallout world.

InFamous had an okay story but too easy, boring combat. The game is way overrated like the rest.

GTA: IV was a massive disappointment with a crappy story, bad vehicle controls, and boring missions. I've been playing the GTA games all my life even on the PS1 but GTA: IV was crap.

I have to disagree...from all the bioware games I played, DA2 was the worst, but it's still better then the majority of all games out there

lol.
i suspect that a lot of people are expecting to find DA2 among these lists.
despite my hatred for DA2, it's not the worst game i have ever played.
that would be:
Superman 64 : GOD MAKE IT STOP.
E.T The video Game: ...nuff said.
Shadowrun: UGH, WTF IS THIS?.
Bomberman act zero: they killed Bomberman...
KotOR 2: how dare you Obsidian... HOW DARE YOU!?.
Dungeon Siege III: i couldn't play the demo for more than 10 minutes, it's HORRIBLE.
Final Fantasy XIII: i'm sorry, if i wanted to go through a f*****ng corridor all day long, i'll simply walk back and forward through my house.
Fable III: ... i'ts fable, do i need to say anything?.
Alpha Protocol: why?, WHY? WHY SEGA WHY?! it was f*****g pro concept, and you let a bunch of amateurs take care of it and make an unplayable battle system, let them have 70% of the game broken, and horrible AI.

yeah, i hate Obsidian.

Sonic....F*****ng Free Riders: watch the Angry joe review of it, you'll know why.

Risen: 360 only! on pc it was actually pretty good.
MindJack: Yatzeeh's review...nuff said.

Dungeon Siege 3 isnt that bad. Playing the demo says nothing.
It's about the same quality level as DA2 about 80 points in metacritics. Slightly above a medicore game.

Oh boy, you must be Fallout and GTA's racist!!!

Anyway, Dragon 2 should not be considered as a bad game, only the upset mind can keep this prejudice.

Arcania Gothic (Gothic 4): Worst RPG ever.

The Guild II and its expansions: HORROR!!! (Runeforge redeemed the franchise somewhat with Guild Renaissance)

Vampire The Masquerades: Bloodlines (Vanilla).... Butchered lore, most bugs I ever encountered in a single game, a rulebook? Why read that? (Meh!)....no, "choices" and Aaaaaaarrrrpgeeee elements did not save this mess in my eyes

Oblivion (Vanilla): Oooooooh shiny........5 minutes later: By the Nine Divines, what a dud!

Belief And Betrayal: This is what people call an Adventure game these days? (All the spoiled/jaded RPG fans should take a look to see what a ghost town, dull enviroments and "no choices" really are.)

I remember beach head 2002. After few levels as being a bunker shooting soldiers, tanks and aircrafts it becomes too boring to play.

Can I say 'Skippy the Sailor' for the gamers' paradise that was the Amstrad Green Screen circa 1987? The fact that everything was a different shade of green was, sadly, NOT the worst thing about this game.
