Female Shepard and renegade are a terrible mix. It's like a running gag. I'm not very intimidated by renegade femshep. Male Shepard pulls it off a lot better.
Female+Renegade Shepard= Best Shepard~!

I here allot of talk about how much better Hale is than Meer. I did a femshep run through, Hale is just as bland, but sometimes she get's way to emotional.
At any rate, Renegade and femshep don't mix. Hale is bad at the "grr I'm a tough chick" lines. Meer is better at them, not the tough chick, you know what I mean.
In short Hale is better at Paragon, Meer is better at Renegade.

Personally prefer female paragon.
Renegade Shepard breaks the 4th wall for me constantly... can't stop wanting to scream at the npcs: "Why are you following / obeying Renegade Shepard? She treats you like garbage, insults you, belittles you, is a borderline homicidal lunatic.... where is this idiotic loyalty you have to Shepard coming from?" (Particularly Joker... a pure renegade all but kicks him around like a dog... cannot fathom how or why Joker even follows her anymore).
There are some renegade actions I prefer over Paragon... but in general I just can't swallow the pill that says these people (or anyone) would follow someone who displays such blatant disregard and even resentment to them.
A Paragon I can believe as a leader, a Renegade is too much.
But that's just my personal opinion, I totally appreciate that a lot of people find it fun to be the "badass" who treats everyone like crap in a game... it's escapism afterall, so more power to those who are capable of enjoying that aspect.. I personally, cannot.

First, the only best shepard, is YOUR Shepard. or my Shepard, or perhaps his/her Shepard because really, it's a role playing game. There isn't a right or wrong way to role play.
Second, just because you think something "teh best" doesn't mean it's fact, or that any other views are less valid.

All my femsheps are paragons but they all have a fair amount of renegade points as I havea hard time resisting the renegade interupts. Otherwise, they're maxed out paragons and it's still great in that my femsheps are very noble yet bad ass when the situation calls for it.
