Turians, Krogan, and Geth are my top three. I basically like the more martial races and dislike the Salarians (Although I do like that their culture is based around espionage) and the non-combat races. Humans are in the middle but probably more on the dislike side. I feel kind of sorry for the drell though; it seems that they got the same treatment in ME2 as quarians and reapers did in the first game, that is, that you can count the number of members of them you see on one hand... unless you're missing a lot of fingers on that hand.

Hanar, geth and quarians are among my favourites. Certain asari and salarians are awesome as well, but some are a bit whiny.
Least favourites? Humans, batarians and volus (volii?). The majority are jerks.

[1]Turians: Love the militaristic culture. They don't mess around. Their society is about the good of the whole without sacrificing the individual. Meritocracy. Sexy aliens (Garrus) who value honesty, courage, discipline, and never leaving a man behind.

[2]Geth: I'm fascinated by AI. The geth are both innocent (more as in naive) and wise in spite of it, and I can empathize with their journey to secure their right to exist. They seek to understand, not destroy.

[3]Salarians: I love these guys. No nonsense while having a streak of absurdism in various individuals. Quick wits, big-picture perspectives, very intelligent. I find their culture fascinating. It makes me sad knowing how short their lives are...but they live big and more than make up for it with the impact individuals leave.
