I downloaded the patch and installed it. When I launch the program, it then says it cannot launch due to a malfunction, reinstall the game. What do I need to do to get this patch?
Thanks!

The problem you are having isn't clear to me from what you have written so far. Re-read RaenImrahl's pinned sticky message about how to handle problems, including how to report, please (the one that says "Read First").

Sorry about that. My version of the game is DAOrigins.exe - version 1.00, the launcher is 1.01, the config is 1.03, the uninstall is 1.03. Everytime I launch the game from the launcher, it states cannot launch due to a malfunction, reinstall the game. The game is unmodded, I have some DLC, but no real mods. It is the EA Digital DOwnload version, fully legit and paid for. My hardware is more than capable of handling this game, as I have put more than 100 hours into it. I now all of the sudden cannot create certain new characters. I thought I would install the latest patch, and this happens. What other info do you need please?

This happened after you installed the patch, didn't it? Your DAOrigins.exe files is supposed to be 1.04 instead of 1.00. Replace the v1.00 file with the v1.04. If you don't have it, download from the web.

The problem is that when I install the patch, it wont let me start the game, it tells me to reinstall it. Ive done that twice, it wont allow me to play it...

You are able to successfully run the standalone patch 1.04 ".exe" file? Then, when you start the game, you get the "reinstall" error message?

After installing the patch, in the launcher when you click on Configure, you see:
Version info:
DAOrigins.exe: v1.00
DAOriginsLauncher: v1.01
DAOriginsConfig: v1.03
If that is so, it means that when you updated, the daorigins.exe file in the Dragon Age directory somehow has not been replaced with the 1.04 version.
If you want, try this:
download the file from here http://www.mediafire...cchmn3dxvyzxiav, unzip it and replace the existing one in Dragon Age\\bin_ship.
