Just for knowing. Is there any way what Anders did could be prevented (Destroyed the chantry)? What if you didn't do his companion quest?

Thanks for now.

Are there no happy ending where all companions are happy? One of them is going to leave? What is the best option? And what If I chose that I don’t want to side with any of them?

You have to pick a side eventually, if you say you don't want to pick sides, Meredith will force you to.

You will ultimately have to choose between Anders and Sebastian, but all the other characters you can keep on your side under certain circumstances.

Don't install Sebastian's DLC and he won't be present to storm off in rage and indignation when you spare Anders (and currently the only way you can do that is by siding with the mages, since the rival-Anders-then-convince-him-to-help-the-Templars trigger is still broken).

It happens even if you told Anders to leave earlier in the game.

sadly no, there's only one ending for any playthrough. both sides lose and lotsa people die. if you choose the Templars, Anders ALWAYs dies, that kinda irks me. if someone can prove me wrong on that, please link me to proof.

Glad I never sided with the templars then.

Indeed! If he wasn't called Anders in-game, I might've thought he was a new character. They really developed him badly. It would've been much better if we met the happy go-lucky Anders in Act 1. Then he slowly becomes paranoid and descends into madness throughout the game. The writers really dropped the ball here.

He was still a jokey Anders like in Awakening, but I do agree that more should've been present. He could've at least crack a joke about Justice every now and then. And then Justice interrupts.

*starts thinking of a way that could play out*

After Dissent, you can accuse Justice of being a demon and then Anders will ask if he's too dangerous to be around.  If you agree, Anders leaves the PC's party for good (but will appear just long enough to play UBL to the Kirkwall Chantry).

Oh god I never once told him to leave (I knew you could, I just never did) but the fact that you can tell him to and he still shows up is just.......

i sided with mages but i always kill anders in every playrun i do, no matter what! he is useful but i hate his new personality, so far worse companion ever, plus i thought he lived long enough already so i wanted to let Sebastian take his place.

Frankly, I wish there was an option to kill off both! They're both useless to me. If i'm playing as a mage, I just take the SH spec. If i'm a warrior/rogue, Bethany can do the healing and deal damage. Varric deals way more damage than Man-Leliana. Not to mention I despise both of them. Anders is too much of a whiner. While Sebastian was similar to Leliana(they both preach incessantly and both have a condescending attitude. Except I liked Leli, simply because we had girl talks.Image IPB)

Yep.

To be fair, you can tell Morrigan to leave whenever you like in Origins and *she* conveniently shows up to offer the Dark Ritual, but at least you can still tell her to get stuffed. Anders...you got no choice with him.

Choice. Something that was severely lacking in DA2(aside from handing over Isabela to The Arishok, which I always happily do.Image IPB)

I side with the mages and kill Anders. I just can't bring myself to side with Merideth

I will kill Anders if i don't want an additional healer in my squad (In this case I should be a healer, or Bethany). The last fight with Meredith will consume plenty of potions and healing stuff. If not, i'd rather not let him die or force him to leave the party. Too bad that we cannot keep both Sebastian and Anders alive together

Sebastian has a cool accent (I'm trying to learn and master it for play auditions in real life), Anders has funny and witty jokes...liked them better and his interaction with Oghren in Awakening, especially since he's not possessed then.

But I kill Anders because Justice pretty much demands it.

I usually play a mage anyway because I just love the idea of a Chantry seeker, umm, seeking out a mage for help. The chantry seeking help from a mage is a concept I find deliciously ironic.
