Game issue after 1.04 update

Hey,
When I upgraded to 1.04 and I'm having a problem: during fights no one looses life or endures a spell. I have reinstalled everything, downloaded the patch once more, it did not help. Anyone knows how to fix that?

I figured there was a problem with the daorigins.exe file I replaced it with another one, sorry.
