They wouldn't officially share it, but don't you think it is strange that Garrus had such easy access to the Thranix plans?

It's a little odd but I don't see how it is relevant.

Correct me if I am wrong, but you seem to be assuming that the dividing up of Sovereign means that the various empires are not collaborating. There is no reason why the Alliance would send Shepard a memo about getting Thranix tech from the Turians.

Besides the fact that they may well be cooperating with each other, the empire based upgades could have been deliberately leaked to Shepard as a backdoor way of supporting his effort against the Collectors without officially helping.

TIM isn't against sharing tech. At the end of Retribution he's thankful that Reaperfied Grayson is in Alliance hands as that means more people will be looking into the Reapers.

Then he has changed radically from Ascension or ME2, and inexplicably. He didn't even want Shepard to contact his former squad in ME2.

something has happened between Retribution and Me3 to TIM.  I kinda hope it isn't indoctrination as that would be the most obvious reason for Cerberus run by TIM to go after Shepard even a Shepard that defied TIM in Me2, it would be counter productive against the Reapers.

A good twist would be that Shepard is the one thats indoctrinated and TIM is stopping him.  Remember indoctrination can warp reality.  Image IPB

The Alliance didn't send Shepard any memo about the Thanix. You are confused.

It's not that he didn't want Shepard to contact the squad, its that he didn't want Shepard wasting time on pointless pursuits

He didn't trust Liara (little fishy), but he didn't even know whether others were. Once Tali was located he gave you the info.

It makes sense that he didn't trust Liara, given that she was an aspiring information broker and already got waaay closer to Cerberus than many (especially nonhumans) get. The rest I don't think he had any problem with other than the inconvenience and interferance with the mission

I didn't say they did. In fact, In fact I was pointing out that there would have been no reason to let Shepard (and thus us) know if they did.

Because an already proven squad that Shep has already broken in would be completely useless, right?

Tali was acceptable after it turned out she was willing to accept working with Cerberus. Garrus was acceptable appearantly without TIM even realizing who he was sending Shepard to recruit.

In what way would an information broker not be useful, other than Liara being able to supply Shepard intel TIM didn't want Shep to know?
