You must have a hard time watching most movies then, since you have to 'put up' with most movie characters being straigth then.

I can just imagine the rolling of eyes that would have been done if George Lucas suddenly decided to make Luke Gay in Return of the Jedi, despite not having been so for the first 2 movies...

Luke is far more of an established character, from films and books, than Shepard, a game hero, who can be anything the player wants to be.

There will be toes stepped on either way if they include or exclude s/s romance or not. The point is that it has NOT been in the game. People can express their sexual tendencies however they wish in real life, I have very good gay guy friends. That is not to say that BW should bend over backwards to put something in the game and possibly alter solidified characters. I am against it for the reason that I don't want my male squadmemebers eyeing me because I am not gay. That's like me going to a gay bar as a straight man and not expecting to get hit on. I just don't want this to alter my game experience and my playthrough.

The thing is... ME is not a movie. It is a game in which the protagonist is advertised as being "your own". So why can't Shepard make advances towards the person you are really interested in? I could accept it if atleast s/he could ask and then get rejected. But to be completely ignored? That is just lazy, IMO.

I have refrained from using the word homophobic, but now I will not. A sexual orientation is anything from straight and gay. Oriented towards one sex, either, all of them. It is also defined by consent.

You are a homophobe to think it can be equalised in any way to beastiality.

That was intentional - I seriously doubt that Oracle, Redhat or Sun could get away with releasing software with DA2's bugs or simply not patching known problems in products they are still selling.

Edit: E.g. my Shepard gets stuck in mid-air, forcing me to reload an earlier save and lose 5min of gameplay. The attitude that this is completely acceptable makes me really rather angry - imagine Google Mail's servers crashing once every few hours and losing (irrecoverably) 5min worth of mail every time.

Sexual orientation describes a pattern of emotional, romantic, or sexual attraction to the opposite gender, same gender, both genders, neither gender, or another gender.

This is a scientific term, not something someone pulled out of their ass. However much you whine about it bestiality =/= sexual orientation.

So you are claiming some preferences are more 'pure' than others? Despite neither being able to produce offspring?

And regarding aliens, it could be argued that we are already talking about bestiality in the first place...
