has anyone got the ability to do these?
I am looking for a few smaller (couple meter) floating islands where it looks grassy on top but that they have been ripped out of the earth so maybe a few roots among the dirt beneath.
Will be re-used again and again (and Im sure do well on the vault).

That would be pretty cool.
Could you use, say, a huge boulder, and put some tree root placeables etc. around it?

All I need to make a floating island is a bunch of boulders with bottoms...that's all I need...that combined with RWS cliffs and I'll have a floating island prefab on the vault before you can say...

You mean *you* need grass...
(And I believe the activation word for the model-request spell is 'please')

For now you can make floating island but it must be made only with placeable.
You could do a floating "building" with BCK
But beeing able to use the terrain tools and textring tools for the island is currently not possible.
You can trick and make a false floating Island, but you won't be able to walk under it, and that Island need to be so hight that you can see the ground

There are some other components too... brownies... a six-pack.... stuff like that usually works. Has to be good beer, though.

You don't need BCK for floating buildings. There's plenty of placeables you can use to give a solid bottom (though I wish Obsidian had given many placeables bottoms). Also you can do q bottom via vfx, I did it in PoE.
Some very slick texturing and coloring plus fog and you could make something that looked very much like a floating island. Use coloring to give a tapered appearance to the bottom. Something shaped like an upside down pyramid you couldn't do, but a more "dunce hat" bottom look could be achieved.
Anyway, the Eguintirs blog pic looks good.
