I've been wanting to play through Origins with an anti-Mage Warden, but I was wondering what would be a good anti-Mage party, since there's not as much emphasis on the whole thing as there is in DA2. Leliana and Shale I would say fall into that category, but not sure who else. Alistair likes mages in DA2 but is indifferent in Origins even though he's meant to be a templar I think..
Who is pro/anti Mage?

Possibly Oghren, with the whole Dwarf magic-resistance thing?
Alistair is also an excellent choice. The Templar spec comes into its own with a party set-up like that. And if the warden's not a mage, I don't think he says anything which implies he actually likes mages particularly. Okay he's reasonably warm towards Wynne, but that can be passed off as him just liking to be mothered.
I played a magic-hating warden when I did a warrior-only playthrough (which was a LOT more fun and interesting than I'd imagined - and not half so difficult). I went with a human Templar (devoted to the Chantry. Seemed to fit), though again, maybe a Dwarf for the magic-resistance?

Sten is most skeptic towards mages of all the companions. He wouldn't want them unbound.

Leliana isn't anti-mage in the least. As it's said, the only real anti-mage people are Sten and Shale. Most of the others are simply indifferent.

Sten and Shale. Sten thinks all mages are simply too dangerous to be left to their own devices. Shale had a mage master and goes on about mages abusing their powers.
Alistair is more anti apostate/maleficar than anti mage (he gets along with Wynne fine, for instance).
Wynne is anti blood mage (she was supposed to betray a blood mage PC after Broken Circle).
Morrigan is anti Circle mage (she believes they're cattle who like being locked up).
Leliana, Zevran and Oghren appear indifferent to mages.

Warning: Small DA II/Sebastian DLC spoiler.
While Leliana doesn't display any particular pro/anti mage tendancies in Origins, including her in pro-templar party could make a really good setup for her later apperances in DA II Faith questline for Sebastian.

At least it would add some sense to it. In mine she was sleeping with an anti templar and anti chantry bloodmage. Then in DA2 she's pro templar. Not sure what happened.

Her amulet's name in Origins is Seeker's Circle. Considering who she turns out to be in DA II, among with the fact that she is a bard skilled in art of seduction among other things... well.
I feel for you though. My favorite playthrough though Origins, the mage Warden counted Leli among her closest friends. Her role in DA II left a somewhat bitter taste in my mouth, all things considered.
That said, there isn't much opportunity in Origins to declare a pro-mage freedom and/or anti-chantry stance, aside from head canon roleplaying.

She got a promotion to a position, that's what happened. Plus, Kirkwall is pretty much full of crazy people.Slidell505 wrote...

Remember, in Origins, Pro-templar just meant pro-circle. The only drooling "KILL ALL MAGES" templar was tortured and had his mind effed with by blood magic.

If you want an anti-mage party, then Sten and Shale are must haves. Alistair would be great too, but as it's been mentioned, he's more anti-apostate than anti-mage. He would be great if you want to have the whole angle of being able to *stop* a mage, though, since he has templar training.
If you're trying to go for variety while still not having any mages, I would suggest playing a rogue in this playthrough, since you only have 2 rogues vs 5 warriors for your companions.
Not sure who I'd pick to learn herbalism in this party, because without mages you'll use a lot of poljuices.

I think Sten is probably the best choice for anti-mage, yeah.
Alister and Wynne are usually very anti-blood mage though.
Actually I once saw part of a scene where someone took Sten, Alister and Morrigan into Redcliff Castle and ran into Jowen. It was funny because Alister strangely found himself arguing for both sides of the discussion because he was somehow caught between two extremes.
