I love Aveline she was the most interesing female companion in Dragon Age 2.

I actually wanted to romance her the first time I saw a pic of her before the game was released but alas Bioware knows what is best for us poor gamers.

Because we don't need to get involved with someone normal like Aveline oh no that won't do at all so Bioware did the only rational thing they married her of to that loser Donnic and what does poor Hawke have left to choose from Isabella the Sex Crazed Pirate Wench or Merrill the Bumbling Pervert Blood Mage.

As an Straight Male gamer I found Dragon Age 2 fell so short in the Romance department it was a major step down from Origins in regards to the Romances.

And the pathetic thing is they gave us Tallis who was a large improvement over both Isabella & Merrill but then after Mark of The Assassin low and behold they take her away D***

I don't think she is boring, just normal. Everyone else just feels too damaged (well, with the exception of Isabela who I like quite a bit). The male characters are particularly broken. I didn't want to romance an abomination or a former slave with severe prejudices - too much baggage to have to deal with.
Some relationships could be nice in the stability they suggest.

I know I sound harsh but I am just saying that as much as I like both Isabella & Merrill their Romances were not all that great of the two I only like Bella's.All I wanted was a stable and normal Relationship and Aveline was the best person to fit that description oh well I can always wish I guess.

I am hoping that if we get a Awakening type Expansion one that will allow us to decide our Hawkes Fate I wan't my Sarcastic Mage Hawke to marry Tallis and run off with her.

I am still hoping that Bioware makes an Awakening Style Expansion maybe that Rumored Exalted March is the Title.

Also on the topic of The Possable Expansion Bioware please get it right this time allow Romances this time I hated that about Awakening You couldn't Romance Valenna or Sigrun.

So I say make new Romances maybe these would suffice

I had a thought has anyone actually considered that Bioware basically has been taking all potental Love Intrest's away from Hawke and essentially making the Hawke Character even more worthless here is what I mean.

Considered Dragon Age 2 Pairing's "Story & DLC'S"
Aveline-Donnic "Main Story"
Varric-Bianca "Main Story"
Isabella-Fenris "Main Story"
Anders-None
Sebastion Vael-Bethany Hawke "Main Story,Legacy & Mark of The Assassin"
Merrill-Carver Hawke "Main Story,Legacy & Mark of The Assassin"

My point is that basically Bioware is basically pairing other characters up and I got no problem with that but D*** The only Option unclaimed is Anders I guess My Hawke Will be Forever Alone.

Bioware give us The option of Romancing Cassandra, Leliana and bring back Tallis that way My Hawkes will still have some choices even with your new Pairings.

I think that Aveline would have been nice as well but we get a diminishing pool of Romantic options as I mentioned above in my last post we need Aveline,Tallis,Cassandra and Leliana as new Potental Love Intrests for Hawke.

i agree completely with having Aveline & Tallis as potential love interests for Hawke but a Liliana LI could conflict with the Wardens storyline & she isnt around long enough for it to be possible, & Cassandra would have to actualy meet Hawke in game for that possibility to happen so either an expansion for DA2 or DA3 would be better for that LI.

You do realize that those 'pairings' don't happen if Hawke romances said LI, right?

Also, the Isabela/Fenris thing is 'just sex', Sebastian and Bethany is nothing but flirting...they're not even dating, and Merrill/Carver seems one-sided to me (i.e., she's shown zero interest in him).  None of them are nowhere near what I would call a legitimate couple.

Isabela and Fenris only happen if you don't romance them, and it's just sex. There id no relonship between Merrill/Carver and Seb/Beth, they just flirt with eachother, but you can also romance Merrill and Seb which kills the relationship with the others. Get your stuff right Bob.

I have no problem with what Bioware is doing I love the potental pairings of Carver/Merrill & Sebastion/Bethany both of Hawke's Sibling's needs more depth and story growth. I like both Isabella and Merrill I have a Save Romancing Both but I honestly think they could have been alot better.

Also concerning Leliana being romancable with Hawke and it messing with the Wardens story the thing that needs to be considered is not everyone's Warden Romanced Leliana so how can it really be an issue for the people who romanced Morrigan or Alistair.

My point being that there is no real Game Canon Pairing for the Warden so I don't see why Morrigan,Leliana,Zevran couldn't be Romanceable with Hawke Alistair not so much because It apparently has become canon he is King so no Wayward Romance between Him and Hawke.

Which is why I support these Potental Love Intrests for Hawke "DLC/Expansion"

Yeah, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't be bugged to hell so that Leliana can be romanced regardless of whether or not the Warden did the horizontal Remigold with her. Even now, on imports where the Warden romanced Zevran, he's more than happy to sex up Isabela and Hawke because it's bugged every time.

There's really nothing there, though...if you think about it, the characters in those pairings hardly know each other....especially Bethany/Sebastian...she's gone by the time you even recruit him.

I'd rather they do something else to give the sibling's depth besides, 'lol flirting'.

Aw, but what if Hawke wants to steal Leliana away from the Warden?  Will that be possible?  They'd have to possibly create separate paths to accomodate that.

I support them continuing the ones they started in DA2.  Though, I don't mind if they add two more (one of each gender) in a DLC pack as long as you can finish the ones from DA2.

No LI from DAO and DA2 should be LIs for a new hero in other DA games. However there could be a casual sex option for Zev and Izzy if you didn't romance them in DAO/DA2.

I wish Bioware would make an Expansion Pack for Dragon Age 2 allowing the continuation of the DA2 Romances and maybe add a few new options thats all i am saying and if Bioware doesn't want Hawke/Aveline than fine but come on How about a Female Warrior Love Intrest I mean we have a Mage and Rogue how about a Warrior

I've just finished playing through DA2 for the 9th time and I finally wish Aveline was a romance option. Sure, she has man arms, but she's a great character and I don't see why we can't have a relationship if you can have a relationship with (or just #@c^) just about any other major character in the game.

Heck, you even get a new romance option in the Mark of the Assassin DLC, so why not add Aveline as a romance option in the next DLC!!!!

Especially if Dominic gets killed off and you fast forward months or years with a quest that makes Aveline realize what a great person Hawke is. He is the coolest dude in Thedas after the Warden after all!

I strongly believe that Izzy and Zev should have the opportunity to sleep with every single PC in the Dragon Age series. Love should only be available with their respective long-term buddies, but chance encounter? Oh my yes. They must always be able to say "I banged her before she was famous."

though if leliana was romanced by the warden, she's off-limits(my warden romanced her, so she better be loyal)
I'm sure others would be on the list, but I don't know who they could be.

I haven't posted on this thread in a while been busy playing Mass Effect & Skyrim.

Now back on Topic the thing for me is that hopefully if Bioware decides to make an Expansion which I hope they do but I have my doubts after all the Dragon Age 2 Hate. I hope they will get it right this time in and give Hawke new Companions and it could be feesible because at the End Varric Says that everyone left The Champions Side Except his/her Love Intrest.

Which in my mind could set up the Expansion Hawke either alone "No Love Intrest " or accompinied by his/her Love Intrest could arrive at the location the Expansion takes place and it could take place one of two very diffrent ways depending on Hawke having or not having a Love Intrest.

If your Hawke has a Love Intrest let's say Isabella she would automattically become Hawkes First Companion and then Bioware could add New Companions either completely new Characters or bring back some Old ones I wouldn't be against that either.

And If your Hawke was Single then Bioware could add one more Character either way you would have a full group of Companions.

And Bioware could add a new set of Love Intrest's and continue the Dragon Age 2 ones as well so all I will say is Make it happen Bioware
